Ghost was starting to become irritated with Zycrin. He was getting tired of all of the mind games and tricks. He wanted to end him right there... but he couldn't do it. He didn't kill survivors, no matter how horrible they are. "At least I'm brave enough to step up to any challenge. Remember how you wounded my leg last night? You could have ended my worthless life at that moment... but you didn't, because you were scared to. You're a coward!"

Zycrin look Ghost in the eye and started to laugh, "why would I end you life look how much fun we are having now. If I had ended your life we would not be having this conversation, a few ponies may be dead and ther would be a much slimmer chance of getting josh the antidote he needs. By the way the more Josh moves, the fast the poison spreads across his body. For evey minuit he moves the posion takes of two. I would get him to stop moving if I were you." Zycrin looking happy With himself. Muttered into ghosts ear. "Go tell them that".

He sighed, and kept on breathing along. "You're going to have to check him, im too weak to.." Then he pointed at Zycrin who was tied up. "He cannot harm you right now, since he's also too weak."

 

Lady smiled at Zeta and nudged him gentely. She made sure she was careful not to hurt him. "I'm going to go search the tower for Josh." She winnied, "If he is poisened he probably can't come find us. Make sure you get that antidote." And with that, Lady exited the room. She crashed through every door in sight as she searched for the poisoned pegasus.

((Ignore the whole looking for Josh part.....))

All Zeta did was let out some air, but he was once again slightly happy from all this. Protecting anypony was now his duty, but if it was for sacrifice, he would let himself die for Lady. That was a new pact he made starting from now on.

"Very kind.." He whispered.

Josh went up to the room where he had tied up Zycrin "how do your insides feel" he asked zycrin

"if you dont start giving us answers they will begin to rot from the inside because of the herbal brew i force fed you earlier" Josh sat and stayed still as a statue staring at zycrin

((FINALLY CAUGHT UP))

 

Toaster looked from the group to the damaged locomotive. Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in head head. Dashing off to the train, he started yelling at the Trotters.

 

"HEY YA' FREAKSACKS, BUFFET OVER HERE!" He yelled. The dead began charging him as he hopped onto the locomotive. Most of the controls were shot to hell, but they looks operable. Pulling the reverese lever back, the train lurched backwards, and hooked up to a single train car. Toaster looked back at the others.

 

"Well? What are you all waiting for? GET IN!" He yelled as he kicked away a zombie that was getting up.

A worried expression came upon Ghost's face. He couldn't let Josh die. "Zeta, I have to find Josh and Lady. You stay here and make sure our little friend doesn't cause any trouble." Ghost then leaves the room and searches around the bell tower for the two ponies.

Ghost found Josh at the top. He examined Josh's skin. It looked like the poison was getting worse and worse. "Josh! Don't take another step. If you continue to move, the poison will just keep taking effect. Just stand perfectly still." Ghost said in a worried tone.

Grand grabbed fire and thunder with her levitation and threw them into the train before jumping on herself, just barely dodging a particularly nasty looking trotter. They were finally headed to appleoosa, but grand couldn't help hating hersf for abandoning her friends. "They'll meet up with us, I'm sure of it" she said to the rest of the group, though she didn't believe herself

Seeing that the others were on safely, Toaster grabbed the whistle, yanked on it, and kicked the lever forward. The train groaned as the wheels struggled to get traction to the rails. Finally, the wheels did and the train moved forward. Some trotters were on the rails ahead, but the ram on the train either pushed them aside or slowly crushed them until the train got to speed.

"My insides are fine, I would be more concered about what if flowing through both of us. Maybe you should have a flight, Josh get your head clear. You know that offending me and attacking me will not get you that antidote you need so badly. Even if I die, I will die knowing thi died doing what I loved and I will die a happy Stalion. What about you, does anything haunt you, Josh." Zycrin went back into his little smile and laughter routine.

Once again though, he was interrupted by Ghost.

He walked back to Zycrin again with his knife at hoof, taking it and positioning it to stab. Once positioned and in front, he spoke.

"I've been wanting to do this sometime now. Please bear witness the stabbing of your horn."

Then with most of his strength, he stabbed at Zycrin's horn and punctured it like a piece of wood, making sure it went all the way through before pulling it back out again and staggering.

The knife blade melted from it, but it would disable his horn for a hell of a long time. Then he took 3 steps back and gave a cold stare.

"Try to use magic now. I gaurentee it cannot work."

"of course you can make the antidote yourself but that would require you to go all the way to appeloosa, and from the nosie out side I belive that you train has just departed from the station. Sorry josh." All a total lie, the herbs josh needed are not in appeloosa, but somewere much further away. He just said that to through josh of track, and confuse him.

Grand sighed. maybe she could reach them with her telepathic skills. from this range she might be able to send a blurry message to the group. it was worth a shot. she mustered up as much energy as she could and sent a simple "I'm sorry" to the rest of her group. She had no way to tell if it would make it there or not. the telepathy spell exhausted her and she lied down, watching ponyville grow smaller and smaller

"i didnt ask for the herbs however i asked for the antidote itself. As previously pointed out you are clever and i believe you have prepared for a lot of eventualities and getting yourself poisoned is one that i think is possible so maybe you have an antidote nearby or even on you?" Josh was sure of this no one working with poisons was ever foolish enough not to carry the antidote for an emergency

Ghost runs up to Zycrin with his knife-edged staff in hoof and places it against his neck. "You lie! I don't remember much from Appaloosa, but I can sure as hell tell you that they aren't there. Tell us where they really are! Now!

Ghost hears a faint "I'm sorry" through his head. It sounded like Grand. "Don't worry, Grand. We'll meet you in Appaloosa. I promise" Ghost thought.

Tempest was flying in the air when he heard a train. "This had better be worth it." He thought, as he landed on the roof of the last car.He then entered and drew his swords. "Is anypony there?" The cyan pegesus inspected the car and then headed to the next. The cyan pegesus sensed several ponies a few cars ahead and smirked. "So, there are still survivors. Thank Luna."

After a bit when Zeta had stabbed Zycrin's horn and disabled it, he walked back to Lady with something he hadn't had on his face in a while.

For the first time in 11 years, he smiled.

He had a small one, not really noticible, but when up close you could tell, especially when he reached Lady. "That is all I needed to hear from you, was a bit of trust in yourself. Now come, follow me behind the building."

Lady blushed even harder as she rose to her hooves as told and began to follow Zeta. "Why are we going behind the building?" She asked curiously. "Why aren't we staying to help?" Lady pressed up against Zeta to help support him as he walked.

"that's more like it. I will give you the antidote on three conditions; I want my weapons back, I want the freedom to walk were I will, and when you get the antidote I get to walk free. Do we have a deal." Zycrin had a small smile on his face, most of the time he was a stalion of his word, and this is one promise he intended to keep.
