Raiden_Opsaidoun 23 August 4, 2013 Share August 4, 2013 (edited) Without giving suggestions that involves the moon (that was an april fools joke way earlier), throw down great ideas for the next Bronycon 2014. Eg. the location. My suggestion: have the convention in orlando, florida, at the Orange county convention center. -It's the second largest convention center in the US. -it is closer to where I live Note: I just would like to hear what you guys expect at the next bronycon. I'm not saying I am involved with Bronycon. Edited August 4, 2013 by Raiden_Opsaidoun
Red Diamond 549 August 4, 2013 Share August 4, 2013 Yeah, I believe it should be in the Orange County convention center(I'm like 150 miles from Orlando, but oh well). Here is an excellent idea: Feld0, walking in to the stage, in a 4chan horse mask 2 ATTENTION!! I DO NOT TAKE REQUESTS!
akalink 163 August 4, 2013 Share August 4, 2013 I was almost pretty confused there. Orange county California already has a pony convention. But if its in Orange county Florida next year I might be able to stay with relatives instead of pay for an hotel. In terms of panels I'm planning on doing a Music Theory Panel where I teach music theory concepts using pony music, if it passes and goes over well at Sac Brony Expo than I will try to do it at other panels. RockinRarity 1,605 August 4, 2013 Share August 4, 2013 Sorry dudes. Pretty sure I read somewhere that Bronycon is staying in Maryland for the time being. They find that it is the best place to host the con. And I think they're trying to stick to staying on the east coast. But I do think that next year, Bronycon should give teleportation devises to all bronies so that they can come to the con without worrying about costs for the hotel or for travel. 4 Follow my blog! ~The Mind of Sally - Experiences, Opinions, Musings~
eonstempest 6 August 4, 2013 Share August 4, 2013 I live in Florida too. I agree about using the Orange County Convention Center, but for a different brony convention. I would suggest putting the Grand Brony Gala there for it to grow. If we Florida bronies can top two conventions off quite well that would be great. Although Bronycon is more of a Northeast U.S. convention. Out of almost all the polls I've seen of where bronies live, New York always comes out on top, so I suggest trying to move it back to New York it original location. I understand why Orlando would be a good location. It has Disney World, Universal/Islands of Adventure, Sea World, the new park Legoland Florida and Orlandos surplus of other parks and scenery. Orlando is full of tourism and a lot of people would like going there for Bronycon. However I would be perfectly fine with Bronycon in Orlando and a lot of Florida bronies would support it too. It would allow the convention to raise the amount of people allowed in it and more people would come because of its location. Orlando is a great city for tourism and it will increase the desire to come to Bronycon with the cities atmosphere. As for ideas maybe auction off something big like a car and send the money to charity. There are a bunch of salesman in this world who would be willing to give away something big for publicity. Bhending the Rules 697 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 But I do think that next year, Bronycon should give teleportation devises to all bronies so that they can come to the con without worrying about costs for the hotel or for travel. Seconded. This is best idea. Get on this, con organizers. XD I really don't have any serious ideas to improve the con, though. It was an incredible experience, and I'd say it's darn near perfect as it is.
Super Derpy 535 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 I'm pretty sure Bronycon is staying in Baltimore for next year but if they do move it a great place would be the Raleigh Convention Center. It is a fairly large place and hosts Animazement every year which is a fairly large anime convention. Raleigh is also pretty well centered on the eastern seaboard meaning people from places such as Florida wouldn't have to drive up all the way to Baltimore. It's also about 20 minutes from my house. That too. Thanks to LittleRawr for the signature! soniccam1 242 August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 OK Bronycon ideas for 2014. Heres my ideas: A dubstep concert for all bronies with artists like (DJ-PON3, Skrillex, Knife Party, etc) A pony game area just like in E3. Spoilers. AND LASTLY, COSPLAY, A LOT OF COSPLAY. Fours words, one goal: DROP DA BASS MAN. ~ soniccam1
TacoFan 1 August 6, 2013 Share August 6, 2013 Actually, they're keeping it in Balltimore Convention Center for now,as they decided it's the best place to host it. ^.^ It's 6 hours from where I live, but I understand that they need to have it in a big area, such as that one. Rockymoo 2,137 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 (edited) Eh... Orange County wouldn't sit well with both my schedule and my wallet. Baltimore is about 9 hours from my place of residence, and Florida is days away. I'm a lot happier with the former. Plus I have a friend that happens to be a Ravens fan. I can totally rub it in her face. Edited August 7, 2013 by Rockymoo On 10/13/2013 at 6:59 PM, little gamie said: I'm fresh in school Hey, you. You should fill out my Johari Window if you're bored. FireFox 82 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 The venue was good and has plenty of room for expansion. It's not as close to me as I would like, but it'll be ok. I would like to see a pony roast again next year, but hopefully those that are running it watch a lot of comedy central roasts during the next year and learn how it's supposed to be done. I would also like to see a more technical animation panel (with someone that English is their first language or in their language with a good translator (heavy on the flash and after effects howto)). If you purchase your ticket a month or more ahead of time you should get your badge in the mail to avoid the line.
IvyVine 17 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 We're only 4 hours from Baltimore and really, this was a perfect location. There was plenty of hotel and food options around the convention center, as well as plenty to do for any family that might travel with their Bronies. I loved Who's Line Is It Anypony! That needs to happen again. As does Bronypalooza! We had to leave early Friday and missed a lot of the acts, but 2am came way too fast Saturday night! We didn't want to leave. Next year they really need to do something about the line to get badges!!!! And while we had a good time at the gala we did not find out until Friday night that it had been moved to Saturday. Then we learned Saturday that there was a sign-up, while we were in line to get in! The photography set-up was a really nice touch but what about having one of those step-repeat backdrops for next year. It could have a pic of the mane six or the MLP:FiM logo, maybe even a pic of Ponyville. Cos-players and others would line up to take pics with their friends in front of something like that. The Apple BOOM 17 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 Not only did they say that they're staying in Baltimore, but how many people do you think would be completely pissed if they moved it that far? We already had a huge upset last year, and that was only because they moved it 4 hours away from the 2012 location. Moving it to Florida, like so many here have suggested, would be days away, and they'd be killing off so many passes of people who go since they're in the area, without picking up as many who live in the new area for a number of reasons. If you already have ill will due to major changes like this, so many people will be reluctant to go because they won't feel like they can trust the con. You also have the blatant fact that NY/Philly/Baltimore are super populated and super close to each other, and make Florida look like a barren wasteland. Populations according to Wikipedia (metro): Baltimore - 2,690,886 Philadelphia - 5,965,343 New York City - 18,897,109 Orlando - 2,134,411 Tampa - 2,824,724 Miami - 5,564,635 For non-location suggestions, I suggest we don't have Bronypalooza on the 3rd floor. Something with that much movement and stuff (you know, 1.6 and everything) should be on the groundest floor possible. I don't know the layout for the convention center, though, so this may not be feasible.
Scootaloo Is Best Filly 578 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 I am really hoping it stays in Baltimore. I missed this year, but I am fro NJ so NY/Baltimore/Mass/Philly would be extremely easy for me to get to by train. Facebook: Josh B.
akalink 163 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 I live in California so if it moves to Florida or stay in Baltimore I doesn't matter to me. Now if you really want a convention in Orange you really should make one. Ironically that means going to as many Anime and Pony conventions as you can and shadowing the staff. So yeah... good luck with that.
sunset_sprint 190 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 (edited) I really enjoyed Baltimore as the site for BronyCon. It was huge and suited the needs of the convention to a "T." If there are so many of you guys in Florida maybe you guys should just car pool up. Thats what me and my friend did, granted we only had to drive 6 hours. Also because it has yet to be done so far, they should try and get all the mane 6 VAs to attend next year. Tara, Ashleigh, Andrea, Tabitha....easy peasy depending on their schedule..so they should ask now. I can't help but view that as a missed opportunity. It's the biggest MLP con around, they really ought to be around. I'd also do everything in my power to get Lauren Faust and John de Lancie again, if that was at all feasible.

Silver Letter 1,832 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 I think they are staying at Baltimore which is a fine thing since they only used nearly half of the place. As for ideas, I think they should have another voice actor panel so I can get more autographs for next time. Silver Letter!!! Buttonmash1973 1,026 August 7, 2013 Share August 7, 2013 I were at the Bronycon livestream chats the last two years. And I wouldn't mind if the Bronycon maybe could be in Florida. My hope is that the big red truck with a screen will come back.
