So, hello everypony! I have a RP idea I'd like to submit, I'd like to see how many ponies would be interested in joining me on this adventure!

Basically, my OC Driftwood and a group of maybe 7 or 8 other ponies will be embarking on a trip to Canterlot from the edges of Equestria for various reasons of their own.
 
The theme of the RP will be friendship and adventure, traveling across the land starting at the seaside.
 
We might find enemies or friends in each other , and the road ahead of us will not be short of perils and excitement. This will be a great way to develop your characters new or old, and you'll have lots of opportunities to show off your OCs' traits.  
 
I have no idea what will be in store for us other than a basic outline of the journey and the milestones we will reach, so this should turn out to be a grand expedition.

Rules/ How to play

 

1. Obviously, no god modding

2. Please avoid bad language

3. No sexual content

 

There will be a bit of a Dungeon Master thing going on here, when we're done in an area (for example, the first area is the seaside) I'll post the next chapter which is essentially the next area we travel to.
 
You obviously still have complete freedom over your own character, so you can wander off away from the group, and you can do basically anything you feel like doing (no god modding) if you are still wandering within the designated zone then you might come across solo events like, say, an enemy attack or something which you can control on your own, the DM (me) only controls the area the majority of the group are clustered in. For example, the main group come across a dragon controlled by the DM, while a character who has wandered off is fighting a timber wolf which they control the outcome of. As long as it's nothing silly, I think this is a good construct to follow.

Huh, seems like a good idea to me. I'd be tempted to bring Bardic: not had a chance to use him yet.

 

Failing that, just about any of my characters would fit I think, except maybe Bubble and Emerald.

If I wasn't so eager to use Bardic now that I've found an RP he fits with, I'd suggest that Kingfisher would be quite fun to RP with him. Agh! So many characters! Heh

Yeah if we don't get enough people then we can just bring some other characters in to be honest, it doesn't really matter very much I just think a group of 7 or 8 would be a little better to travel with than 4 or 5, but it probably won't matter in the long run I should probably set a date for when we start this quest, to make things a little more definite.

Oh, I didn't think of that guess we can use some of our other OCs as backup then. Also, do you think this should be a private or open RP? I'm going with some form of open, because I guess we can pick guys up along the road and if people drop out then that'll be ideal

Very interesting OC! I'll stick you on the list as for plot, I actually have a file with a rough idea of what's going to happen and the places we'll be traveling through, I just didn't put it on here thought maybe surprise locations would be interesting for the other RPers
