Shade froze from the shouting... She looked at all ponies around here. "There's better stuff? What's better than that tost?" She asked... The tost wasn't the best... But it was the best food shade ate in some time, if there was better stuff, then shade would definitely want some.

Sunset shied away from the mare's touch. She wasn't trying to be rude, but she felt crowded and wanted o be left alone. All of a sudden, another colt shouted in their general direction. She jumped and let out a whimper. 

"N-n-n-no thanks," she added. The toast was much better than the stuff they gave her at the orphanage, and she didn't want to be a bother. 

 

Mint Remedy and Leaf Heart both jumped at the colt's outburst. they saw him near Mystical Flow and a pegasus pony in a corner. Something, or someone, was backed into the corner. Mint Remedy saw a bit of orange and told Leaf that it was Sunset. The two mares trootted over and came to a stop in from=nt of Sunset.

 

Sunset had already been anxious with the Pegasus and the mare who had offered them food, so when the colt and the two mares drew nearer, she was at her limit. She was too crowded in. Her panicked blue eyes darted around as she looked for some way out of the little quarter-circle, but it only made her feel more crowded in. Her breathing started to speed up as a panic attack tried to make itself known.

Mystical Flow smiled over at Lionel.  She chuckled.  "Well, I'm sure I can find something in there," she said.  As she turned back to Gears and the new filly, she also noticed Shade.  "Oh, Shade!  I could get something for you as well!" she called.

Then, she heard it.  She looked down at the pegasus filly beside her.  "Are...are you alright?" Mystical whispered, lowering herself down to be at eye level with her.

Shade blinked twice... "Um... Ok..." She said... It would probably be the most shade had ever eaten in a day... She could eat one pice of toast and be somewhat ok for the rest of the day. She kept her distance from everypony, she didn't want to be close to them. Not that she was shy... But mainly because she didn't like crowds.

Gears eyes widened as the filly before him began to hyperventilate. He began backing up quickly, almost tripping over his own hooves to distance himself from her. He wasn't trying to be rude, but he didn't know how to deal when things like this happened. She wasn't the first pony he met to have a panic attack, but that didn't give him much hands on experience, save for knowing to back up and give her air.

He only stopped moving when he felt himself back up into something--Err someone. (Shade) "Oh! I'm so sorry!" He apologized.

Shade hissed as she was backed into... She moved out of the way glaring at the pony that backed into her. Shade did not like being touched or bumped into, she was sensitive and still quite shy being in a new place that wasnt underground or swarmed by changeling.

Sunset couldn't answer. She was hyperventilating and trembling, and would later scold herself for it. She was starting to get dizzy from shortage of breaths.

 

"I think she's having a panic attack," Leaf Heart said, unhelpfully. Mint Remedy nodded.

"Let's all back up a bit and give her some space," She said, but other than that she wasn't entirely sure what to do. She had her cutie mark for healing physical ailments and injuries, not helping ponies with phobias and disorders.

Gears frowned, hears flattening against his head. "I said, sorry!" He snapped, glaring at her in turn. And did she just hiss at me? But he dismissed that thought from his mind, it was ridiculous after all! She was a pony not a cat!

Gears was starting to become disheartened. Then first filly he approaches ends up having a panic attack and now this one was pissed at him for a reason that he apologized for! Was he ever going to find friends in this place?

He let his head hang low and trotted off to sit in the corner of the room.

"Ssh," Mystical Flow cooed.  She reached her hooves out very slowly towards the filly so that she would see it coming.  Still at a slow pace, Mystical Flow put her forelegs around the trembling filly and gently stroked her mane.  "Hush.  You're safe here.  I promise," she said quietly.

 

Chamois Vine stared at what was happening from her seat.  So much drama.  A trembling filly, a hissing filly, an upset Gears.

*safe...* shade thought. It was a word that shade had heard only a few times, but each time was a lie. The sewers where never really safe... The hive was not a place for shade to be, and even when she thought she was safe, she was wrong. Would she really be safe here? It seemed promising, but this time, she would be ready if it wasnt.

Chamois scooted off of her seat, turned around and walked away.  She did this all very simply, very quietly, and very casually. 

This is what she usually did when any drama began.  She didn't want to end up in the drama, so she left before there was any chance that she would be in it.

Sweet Symphony watched as Chamois got up and left. She didn't seem to want to be bothered, so she stayed where she was and watched. 

 

Safe? Sunset didn't know that word very well. She had only ever heard it when new arrivals came at the old orphanage, or when somepony was adopting and said they were going to a safe home. She knew the basics of what it meant, and didn't quite believe the mare's words.

"B-b-but what if i-it h-happens again?" she whimpered.

"What, sweet child?" Mystical Flow asked gently, moving her head back to look at her.  She brushed her mane back from the fillies eyes, as if to calm her.  She couldn't stop herself from jumping slightly and letting the fillies mane fall back in place.

"Wha---" she gasped before cutting herself off.

Hush now, Mystical, she told herself.  Stay calm.  For her.

Mystical took a deep breathe and then looked the filly right in the eyes as sincerely as she could.  "I won't let it," she said determinedly.

Mint Remedy caught a glimpse of the filly's face, and her eyes went wide. She turned to the others knowing that the filly definitely wouldn't want anypony looking at her now. 

"There's nothing to see here, just have your breakfast," she said to anypony who was looking.

 

Sunset froze with terror as the mare moved her mane off her face. She gasped, but seemed to regain her composure. Sunset started to tremble again.

"I-I-I-I..." she stammered, unsure how to react and anxious as ever.

 

Mint Remedy saw that the filly's mental state seemed to have gotten worse. She came up to Mystical and whispered, "Probably best to get her to a different room, where nopony's going to look at her."

Mystical nodded as Mint whispered to her.  "Yes...t-that would be best," she said quietly.

Mystical Flow stood up straight and reached her hoof down to the filly.  "Would you like to follow me somewhere quieter?  I would never dare to hurt you and there would be no pony there to stare at you or hurt you," she said gently.

@@Feather Gem, Sunset looked up at the mare.

"U-um... okay..." she mumbled. This mare seemed sincere, and she really hated having ponies looking at her. She timidly took the hoof and stood up. On the way out of the cafeteria, she hid behind the mare.

 

Mint Remedy watched the filly go. She would have to bring her in for a counselor meeting. While her talent wasn't treating ponies with different disorders, she was the head - or rather, only - nurse, and by default, a counsellor for some of the foals as well. She turned to the ponies in the cafeteria.

"Everypony, what happened is being taken care of and it's only in the concern of Mystical Flow, myself, and the filly. Go back to your meal and try to forget about it."

Shade blinked and stayed with a blank expedition... She didn't know what to thing, so she left. She sat down back in the lobby and tried to pice some things together. *were safe here... We are given food... We... Um... Stuff happens... And... Then that happens... Um... Maybe I am safe here* she thought not knowing the correct terms even when thinking. Even so... Shade still found this place confusing.

Mystical Flow lead the filly upstairs to the large classroom.  There were no classes today, so it would be empty.  Few of the orphans would bother to go in on a day that they were free.

"Here's a nice quiet place," Mystical Flow said, before realizing her voice would echo off the walls of the empty room.  She immediately made her voice quieter to prevent this.  "You can calm down here?"

Sunset shuffled her hooves and gave a small nod in answer to the mare's question..

"S-s-sorry," she mumbled. "I-I sometimes get scared if i'm c-crowded... A-and then... th-that happens..." 

She looked around the room they were in. A classroom? She would probably end up coming to the same one in a few days.

"S-sorry," she murmured again.

"That's alright, sweetie," Mystical Flow said.  "It isn't your fault.  I understand.  Just know that you're completely safe now.  I won't let anypony hurt you during your stay here."

Mystical Flow then changed the subject, moving away from the more sensitive topic.  She could get answers later on.  She had to think of the filly first.  But she was determined to get somepony punished for what they had done to this filly if they hadn't already.  "It's your first day here, right?  What's your name?  I'm Mystical Flow."

Sunset fluttered her flightless, frayed wings and looked up at the mare timidly, still hiding most of her face with her long mane. She had grown it out for specifically that.

'U-um... Yes... I-i got here j-just before breakfast with another f-filly... Umm... I'm Sunset S-Sky..." 

Or so I was told. The mares at the last orphanage just made that name up to make me think my biological parents had given it to me... But I know better...

"Well, hello, Sunset Sky," Mystical smiled.  "You wouldn't mind me asking where you stayed before this, would you?  I stayed in a little town near Manehatten."

Mystical Flow always answered the questions she'd ask a frightened foal to try and make them more trusting.

This may give me some idea of how she ended up in the orphanage.  Either way, I'll be able to look at her papers and see.

Shade went wandering around the orphanage to get an idea of what every place looked like. It was quiet untill she heard voices coming from inside the classroom. She listened in on the conversation. (Mainly because nothing is happening elsewhere) she heard something about manehatten. She didn't like manehatten... It was a cruel place.

Sunset looked down at her scarred hooves timidly, shuffling them.. She didn't want to answer, but she didn't want to be rude either. She would probably find out sooner or later, anyway.

"U-umm... I-i'm from P-P-Prince Blueblood I-Island...."it took her a while to finish. "I-I was at the o-orphanage there... i've l-lived there all my life..."

She didn't continue. She didn't want to say why she had been there, or why she had left.
