It was just weird hearing her refered to as unicorn,and not princess.

The fanfic had a ton of other nostalgic throw backs as well.

NMM was the only villain,there was no mention of derpy, vinyl, or octavia.

it was weird, like a season 1 fandom time capsule.

I have a hard time reading some of the older fanfictions, because a lot of them feel so...weird now. Like they don't quite fit anymore.

I read alot of the post s1 fanfictions, in a vain attempt to regain some of that old glory and magic the series had to me. It is always really interesting to be able to peer into the minds of fandom members, at a time when next to nothing was known about the shows universe.

Yeah. I can remember reading a bunch of fanfics from back then. I don't even remember most of their names.

 

 It feels like it was so long ago. And yet it also feels like it was yesterday.

My favorite was a one that had a rather annoying to type out title, but it was about the mane 6 growing old and dieing. It was really interesting to see the ideas people came up with just 3 short years ago, when there was so little actual canon for the show. seeing them create entire backstories to things, with so little knowledge on the actual.

Yeah. It is pretty interesting to see what people came up with. Then compare some of it to what is in the actual show.

 

 Never liked old age stories though. Sad stories are fine, just as long as they don't involve old age. I find them to be sad in a way that's makes them completely unenjoyable for me.
