I too also have trouble with Filipino, especially with the more complex vocab. I am pretty much a born 'inglesero', as how we call primarily English-speaking Filipinos out there...

 

There are also times when a word has a similar spelling, like 'bata' or generally 'kid', but if you pronounce it differently, it will yield a totally different meaning. So, kid is baTA, while BAta is 'robe'.
