If I remember correctly, they'd use the rotation of an atom, and use that to store 1s and 0s, but since with quantum mechanics things can be two things at once, if I'm remembering correctly they'd have a 0 (rotating in direction one), a 1 (rotating in Direction 2), and 2 (Rotating in both directions) (Note, this is purely based on remembering them talked about, not research, so I wouldn't quote myself on it ) 182248 You mean beckoning?
