Hey Swirl, Smash and Base!  :P

Ugh.. School...  :okiedokielokie: I guess it's because it's not long after the start of the school year, and everyone's hating it already

How do people even manage to keep going?

I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did. I wanted to quit since like the third grade.

No, it doesn't. You can drop out before 18, but you need parent's permission.

Which most people probably won't get. I'm just wondering how they manage to go and not break down.

I understand that. I'm just frustrated. It's making me think of my experiences and everyone around me just all "It's not that bad! Just deal with it! You're just lazy!" they say.

Now I'm getting angry and I don't want to be.

Here in England, you have to now be in some form of education until you are 18, be it college, Uni, apprenticeships or Sixth Form.

I was staying on for sixth form anyway, so it doesn't bother me. I hate it, but I guess I manage. Don't know if you have Sixth Form in America.

That's not what I'm saying at all. Believe me, I hated middle and high school like no tomorrow, because of how much I was bullied and tormented.

Not saying you were Smash. Just getting reminded of that.

I hated it because of pretty much everything. All the way from Elementary to high school. The entire thing was awful.

Same here, man. I got so irritated by it, I spent a lot of time in the principal's office because of how many times I got into fights standing up for myself.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

School didn't really help me learn all that much either. The classes and teachers were always either too easy/too frustrating/too boring, or some weird mixture of all 3.

Here's my thing: in order for me to learn, I need to be challenged. It wasn't until I started taking Honors and AP classes that I really started learning.

Feel for you two... School is tough. Don't know how British schools differ to US ones. But alas, bullying is the same no matter where you go.

I will openly admit I was not the person you wanted to pick on in school. I would turn right around, get in someone's face, and if need be, knock some sense back into them.

I barely ever fought back against bullies. The few times I tried I got in serious trouble for it...Though I could be pretty mean at some points, just because of how stressed I was all the time.

My thing: I don't have anger issues, I have people problems. When I was in high school, the principals and I were tight. I'd been going to school with one's son since pre-school, and the other, oddly used to date my mother years ago.

Night Filly!

When ever I got crap, I just laughed it off. Difficult, but you can't keep believing what they say. Took me a number of years to learn that.
