But yeah, I hope someday Linux will at least have its fair share of attention in the market share of operating systems in the coming days, and eventually take over Windows...

yes of course... as long as windows is still around, we can still hype for it...

because when we are stuck with it, we can at least be happy with them making it better

Not necessarily. Windows is still, by far, the most popular os in business settings. It's a much more business oriented system than anything else.

 

There was an Epic Rap Battles of History where they featured Bill Gates vs Steve Jobs. Steve said something like, "A man uses the machines you build to pay his taxes. A man uses the machines I build to listen to the Beatles while he relaxes." And actually this is extremely true. Open Office is great and all but MS Office is better. Unavailable for Linux and available in a limited form on Mac.

 

Linux is still a better platform in my opinion, but Mac is horrible if you ask me. For someone who was using Windows 98 at 5 years old, Mac is not user friendly. My grandma has a Mac and she asks me how to use it all the time. Because I can build a computer, I'm a genius, right? Mac is the bane of my existence lol
