Please don't tell me you typed that out

10,000 lines @ 20 characters per line = 200,000 characters. Do you really think I typed that out in 5 minutes? xD

Don't judge a book by its cover. You will truly understand it if you're just willing to read it.

$60. That's sort of the standard. I know inflation will drive that up in the future. One of these days, games will launch over $100. It's a matter of time lol

Could be worse. At least we're not Zimbabwe.

Tu7SyBr.png

When it was discontinued, Zimbabwe was printing currency denominations up to $100,000,000,000,000. That's 100 Trillion. They have since discontinued their currency. Now only gold or US Dollars are the only accepted forms of payment there.

I actually have a 100 Trillion dollar banknote from Zimbabwe somewhere around here, but I have no idea where it is lol But they really exist.

zimbabwe_100_trillion_replacement_note_p

The banknotes become so worthless, it was sort of a repeat of what happened in the Weimar Republic in the 1920s. People were using them for wallpaper or they had bricks of bills to be used as children's toys.

I guess a fun idea would be to order a lot of Zimbabwean bills and use them as replacement Monopoly money

And people in the US think inflation is bad here lol

If this chart is correct, inflation has been very much stable since 1982

But seriously.

sig-3865716.weimarplay.jpg

In hyperinflated economies, this kind of thing happened.

Those poor kids :comeatus:

I'm probably going to Hell for that one lol

But every time I see someone complaining about inflation, I just want to show them graphs like this.

image001.jpg

Is it really that bad? lol

I see what you did there, Woona   :comeatus:

That is crazy though, I remember learning that happened in Germany after WW1. Weird to think how worthless money was.

If I was those kids though I'd walk around with that cash flowing out my pockets... I can be rich if I imagine it dammit!

What the actual fck???

I think by that point they should have ditched the cash and started trading with twigs. Would have been just as valuable lol

Imagine requesting 460'000'000'000'000'000'000'000'000'000 Pengo's in 1 Pengo notes if that was possible
