There's actually a bullshit phenomenon going on in the US where the rich are revoking or simply giving up their US citizenship to avoid paying taxes because they're "too high." I'm like, "Are you fucking kidding me?" Seriously, if you made $19 million in a year, you've got no reason to complain about not having enough money even if you're taxed at 35%.

Something needs to change the law, however, to make it more desirable to do business here.

You know they've gotta save all the money they got for that sweet new private jet, you know?  ;) No but seriously that's fucking terrible and they need a reality check. Reminds me of a lot of big companies over here that do the same... It's pretty despicable tbh

And you know...I think the gold standard was the best thing. Fiat currencies are just not stable. A fiat currency is basically a government telling the world a currency is worth as much as they say it is. It's a promise. It's not backed by anything tangible.

The US hasn't been on the gold standard since 1971.

Meanwhile, it's pretty much mathematically impossible to pay down the national debt. The people we have these days just want to live off the government. People complain that they can't raise their three kids on a $7.25 minimum wage. Meanwhile, I'm thinking to myself, "What on earth are you doing with 3 kids living on minimum wage??" Minimum wage jobs aren't for parents. They're for high school and college kids. They're meant as starter jobs. You don't have kids until you're set in a well-paying career.

My family constantly asks me if I'm ever going to get another girlfriend. It's not on my priority list. Not until I've found a house to settle into. Not until I've got a Master's degree and I'm making better money. Money isn't the answer to my problems. But it'll help make a much more stable family life later down the line.

Lol a Fiat currency sounds terrible! Any corrupt country could just manipulate it for their own gain?

(I'll be honest I pictured the car when you first said it  :P )

Haha you're right on the minimum wage jobs. In England we've got a real problem with shitty parents producing 5 babies a year and living off benefits the government pays them that comes from the rest of the populations tax.

But yeah, a family is just too much money... There's so much I want to do before any of that...

Love how I'm discussing politics at 1:37 am

Yeah. I understand that if the parents don't get help, it's the kids that suffer. But what the system currently does is penalize those who are making the right moves and reward those who are making the wrong moves. My biological parents got $700 a month in food stamps. They sold them all for Oxycontin. Rarely did food stamps actually buy food for our family. Simultaneously, those who worked hard for their money have to pay taxes because......reasons. I'm not against paying taxes and I'm not against helping the poor. But I am against helping the poor people when they go out and do stupid things and don't want to pay the price for it. If you give someone $700 a month and they spend it all on drugs, you're not helping them. You're enabling them.

*gives cup of coffee with milk*

Ya know. I think a serious reform needs to take place with welfare. Instead of helping the parents, why don't we focus on helping the kids? When we have so many people abusing the system and milking the teats of the honest taxpayer for every drop they have, we have a serious problem indeed, Houston. Why not teach children not to rely so heavily on government assistance? Why not create incentives to put more kids from broken homes through college? Why not have more rehabilitation programs for the adults in broken homes? Why not create incentive programs for adults these days that teach them better money management? Instead of giving them money and hoping they do the right thing with it, why don't we focus on actually taking action?

Oh yeah. Because that would actually require effort. And that's not the modern American way.
