Great. I looked up the tax brackets and now I regret that. It won't happen this year but next year I'll be in the next bracket. :c

 

Taxes are so damn high.

And I don't want to pay a government that doesn't deserve it.

Because then the rich would go somewhere else and the country wouldn't be wealthy anymore...

That's already happening. Lots of multimillionaire are relinquishing their US citizenship because the taxes are too high.

 

Of course if I was making 18 million a year I'm not complaining unless taxes are like 70% of all my income. At 39%, you're still living very well.

 

But throwing a guy who makes 40K into the 25% bracket is ridiculous. How about less government spending and giving the poor taxpayers a fucking break?

But anyway. That's just my thought.

Secular Talk has often talked about taxes and shit, and he proposed something I think is a good idea.

Like: the rich pay normal taxes until the reach a threshold, after which they should pay like 90% taxes.

 

That way they can be rich, but not like overly rich...

 

Imagine you make billions a year, up to 1 billion, normal taxes, everything above is just overkill and get's taxed

 

I iz no tax pro, and I dunno if he is, but tbh something like that sounds good to me

True. For something like that to work, we'd need a central world power. Not likely to happen because there'd be ceaseless fighting. Only other way is to get literally every country on board with taxing 90% of income over $1 billion and that's probably equally unlikely.
