I must admit, I'm worried that season 6 will be the last.

 

I know it sounds ridiculous, but I really don't know what I'm going to do once the show ends. All of my friends are within the fandom and I don't want to lose them and be alone again.

 

Not now that I know what having friends feels like.

I can understand that fear, I kind of have it too. But I doubt it's going to end with season 6, it's probably going to keep going as long as Hasbro keeps making money off of it. Even if it does end, there's always a chance for a spin-off or two, and there's that movie in 2017 too.

 

 And even if worst comes to worst, it doesn't mean we're all just going to up and leave. You can count on me to still be here in 50 years if I can, even if ponies are long gone.

I sometimes ponder whether the fandom will outlive the show.

 

Doctor Who and Star Wars managed to keep healthy followings with conventions and huge amounts of fan content during hiatuses that lasted decades.

 

Not to mention that some fandoms like furries exist purely on the creativity and enthusiasm of their members. Who's to say bronies couldn't do that too?

 

Still, if worst comes to worst and the fandom crashes down around our ears, I'd still like to stay in touch with the friends I have made during my time here.

You check it out, and you read through all the stuff we've been talking about...

It's not like the fandom will just vanish overnight. Even if the show ends the fandom will probably stick around for a while, maybe lesser, but probably not going away for a long time, not until everyone here is long dead.

 

 And of course I'd love to stay in contact.
