Well this UPS is only rated for 237 watts. Boo. :( 

 

Not that I'm ungrateful. It was free. An old friend of mine told me they replaced all the ones they have where he works. They told him they could have them or they were just going to send them off for recycling. So now he has literal boxes full of UPS units. Thing is, these units were built to keep office machines alive for a little bit, but not gaming rigs. My GPU alone would eat this UPS alive. :lol: It probably draws anywhere from 175 to 250 watts at load. :derp: So I thought I could use it to power my TV and radio in case of a power outage. I left it earlier to charge for about two hours. Then I tried to run just my radio from it and it doesn't last more than a few seconds. :/ My TV immediately kills the battery (I calculated the TV to draw about 179 watts - 120 volts at 1.49 amps). Maybe the battery was completely drained and needs a day to charge. I dunno. We'll see. :derp: At worst, I do have something that is still better than just a regular surge protector. :squee: And I'm defo not complaining about getting free stuff! :squee:
