I don't really dislike any episode of the show. I have episodes I like a lot more than others, but even this show's "Worst" episodes aren't even really all that bad in my eyes, more flawed than the others, but nothing terrible. Most of them are ideas that were pretty good, but just didn't get executed quite as well as they could have.

 

 The closest thing I can think of to an episode I don't like is "Spike at your service" and that's really only because it's the only episode that almost got boring to me. Almost.

Totally understand your feelings there, Sonic. I enjoyed The Mysterious Mare Do Well but if RD were my fav pony I might wouldn't like it so much ( nor might I even feel it wasn't TOO out of character. )

 

It's for the same reason I'm not too fond of season 1's finale. With how much I love Fluttershy, how can I enjoy seeing her like that? :/

MMDW is probably the most flawed episode of the show. I think the biggest problems are that the mane six never even tried talking to Dash first, and that they then gloated about their deeds to her later when not in costume. If they just had the mane six try talking to her before doing the whole "Mare Do-Well" Thing, and then at the very least toned down their gloating later on I would have had a lot less of a problem with it.

 

I did like all the super hero references though, and it does have a few parts that are actually pretty good.

Eh, the flanderization kinda seems to stop later into the season really. The last couple of episodes she just acts normal. Or at least she seems pretty normal to me.

 

 Plus, all three of her major episodes in season 4 are my three favorite Pinkie episodes in general, so I can sorta forgive her acting a bit off in some episodes.

It's kinda funny. Amy Keating Rogers was the one who wrote both Pinkie Pride and one of the writers for Filli Vanilli. I didn't even realize that until I just looked it up.

 

 But I do think that saying she was flanderized the whole season was a bit of a stretch. I really only had problems with her early in the season and in Filli Vanilli. All her own episodes were great, and I thought she was pretty funny in episodes like "Testing, Testing 1 2 3" and "Trade ya".

 

 But I like being really optimistic about this kinda thing, and I could see why it'd be worrying.

It definitely get's better Filli Vanilli onwards. Can't really think of any problem with her after that episode, she seems more like the usual lovable Pinkie.

 

 Maud Pie is awesome, both the episode and the character. It's one of the best episodes for Pinkie, and the rest of the mane six are all great too, and Maud is probably one of the funniest characters in the entire show.
