I have decided to stop trying to find love. Not because I don't think I can do it but because I have come to dislike the very concept of love itself.

Friendship is the most wonderful thing in the world. It allows people from all walks of life to come together and enrich eachother's lives in such amazing ways and the best thing about it is that anyone can find friends no matter who they are, there are those who will accept them.

Love is friendship's judgemental and greedy sibling. It shares itself only with those it considers worthy and rejects those who are different.

My decision is made. From now on I will devote my days to my friends, as I now know that friendship is the most wonderful and precious of all things.

 

I just taught myself to not care whether or not I find love. One can love friends without falling in love. And as long as I've got that, then I'm fine. 

 

Besides, with divorce rates like they are today, why get married? Odds are it'll end in divorce anyway. 

 

So as long as I have my friends, I'm fine.

 

And as Urban Dictionary puts it, a hug is a way to express affection without being weird about it.

Welp, I guess that's the flipside of superior thinking beings like us. We make the earth more interesting by thinking how it works and the universe it is in and do other stuff that the inferior organism are incapable of doing, but a side effect is of course greed, hatred, and some other stuff that do check the boxes of the disadvantages of having superior thinking. I guess what we'll have to do is at most is to moderate it, but then again, not everyone has that part of brain utilized for self-control and the like... -_-

Totally get that feel. If I'm in a sour mood or just want to be alone, andthus don't say much, my family starts yakking in my ear. I guess because they assume it'll cheer me up.

Yeah, I absolutely loved Hurricane Fluttershy. The scene at the tree was very...touching, to put it mildly.
