I think I prefer 8.1 over 7 just for the fairly fast boot times and the ribbon UI on Explorer, even though I disuse them in favor of keyboard shortcuts. You can definitely get a program that adds the classic start menu "back" like what I said at the top if you don't like Metro.

 

Looking forward to Windows 10 though, and its "revived" start menu and stuff. But what am I really hyped with Windows 10 is the supposed gaming performance boosts with DirectX 12 and its better leverages with multi-core CPUs.

 

And I have the free will to do it since it's free to upgrade for Windows 7 and 8/8.1 users...

I prefer win 7 over 8 all day everyday... you know you can upgrade to win 10 for free right? for all win 7 & 8 users... but still... i prefer 7

and for a pc nerd my pc is really poorly kept like i have about 100GB of stuff on my desktop i should put it in my c drive but i cant be asked

Yeah but the Desktop shares the HDD with he C drive anyway... dont put ur stuff on the C drive... mve it on D as if something happes to ur PC... C drive stuff is unretrievable, while D drive is

I'd miss the familiar ticking sound (and probably the speed?) of HDDs though...
