Glad she's alright Arrow.

So they shipped me off to the orphanage. Said "ditch those roots if y'wanna fit in"

So, I dug one thousands holes, and cut a rug with orphan foals

Now memories are blurred, and their faces are obscured, but I still know the words to this song

When you've bungled all your bangles, and your loved ones have been mangled, listen to this jingle jangle...

 See ya Charisma.

And the whole world's harmonizing

So please children stop your crying and just song along with me!

Dang it, Filly. I wanted to participate. :(

I just don't even...WHA? :okiedokielokie:

So that means changing the desktop wallpaper, at least according to them, is considered not just hacking, but "FELONY HACKING", which felony means "serious crime", and can be punishable by up to a 20 year jail and/or a $10,000 fine according to the Florida state laws. And that's over simply changing someone else's desktop wallpaper, which doesn't even involve any internet access that hackers can take advantage other than maybe finding the image, and can be easily changed in a matter of 2 CLICKS. :okiedokielokie:

And the saddest part is that this all could've not happened if the teacher didn't show off his password to the guy, and more importantly, if they didn't think of the word "hacking" as anything done outside of MS Word and/or Facebook or something. Poor kid. :(

I've been in the Florida school system before.

I'm honestly not that surprised, of the four school's I went to, I could easily see stuff like this happening. They are really strict over stupid crap.

I understand their side of "what could have happened" but it's not like he looked at things he wasn't supposed to look at. We need more concrete computer crime laws. Should it be illegal to hack into someone's computer? Yes. It's no different from looking through someone's pockets. But a felony? Maybe they want to set an example but Jesus Christ. That's extreme.

It's also partly the teacher's fault if he's using a weak password or giving it out. It's kind of like leaving your car unlocked with a bunch of expensive shit in there and saying man I hope nobody gets into my car and takes my things!
