Hello Asuna.

There are many reasons I wish I were the eldest or an only child. The hand I was dealt, I suppose. B)

It's not always best being the oldest. My foster mom always told me (even when my brother was instigating it and being an overall little shit), "You're the oldest. Get along." It didn't matter who was actually in the wrong. It was always me who was in the wrong if I got pissed at him. I'd be minding my own business (i.e. lying on my bed and reading a book) and he'd do something stupid and asshole-ish (i.e. jumping on my while I'm lying on my bed reading a book, thus damaging my box spring and my book), and I'd be in the wrong for being pissed off. There is also an immense pressure on me to perform. You see, as the oldest, I'm the role model. I'm the one who has to set the bar for all the others below me. I also have nobody to look up to. I've got to figure out a looooooot of things by myself or ask my parents. And face it, at 22 years old, I guess I'm too proud to ask them for help when I need it. The kids below me look up to me because I finished college and got my degree and got into a good job. And I have to keep it. I have to be the stable one. I have to be the reserved one. Because I don't want to set a bad example. .-.

Trust me; the grass is no greener on this side. :wau:

OK, yeah, you're totally right. I actually remember my sister getting in trouble when I was largely at fault ( yes, even as a kid I could tell it wasn't fair sometimes. )

I actually hate the extra leeway I get as the youngest, though.

I'd love it if it was called fairly. There's no reason to be laying on my bed, minding my own business only to be jumped on by my brother who is both taller and more physically in shape than me. And it made me hate him for it. I wanted to (on many occasions) go into his room and smash everything he owned.

Moving out of my parents' house was the best thing that ever happened to our relationship. I also think he just grew up a little. I mean, we couldn't be closer now. We still punch, though

But it hurts like hell. Because if he was in shape before...He's in the Army National Guard now so I'll just holler in public, "WE'VE GOT A SOLDIER GONE ROGUE! HE'S ATTACKING A CIVILIAN!"

Then he's like, "Shut up! Don't get me in trouble," and I'm like, "Well don't attack civilians."

I'm a fair bit older than most of my siblings. Just one is near me. Most of us were born after 2000.

My "Best friend" from elementary to early high school had the same last name as me, so even though we weren't related everyone thought we were brothers.

 That's very true Charisma.

To be fair my mom occasionally had to give him a ride to school in our car, so I guess I can't blame everyone too much.
