Does the 4690K turbo up to 3.8 or something like that? My fans are handling it quite well though. 

 

I've been running Prime95 for about 3 minutes now and we're only seeing mid-50s for max temps XD

Woona make sure you have a good enough airflow to keep it cold

I have a big Noctua fan on my i7 and I'm overclocked from 3.8 to 4.0 and this thing runs idle around 35°C and goes to around 80°C when I do CPU heavy stuff

I'm currently running a control test using Prime95 and RealTemp to determine what I'm getting at Intel specified speeds. I guess these things boost themselves up to 3.9 GHz. So I might see what happens if I OC to something like 5.5 4.2 and see what temps I'm getting. 

 

Although...I am getting into the 70s now and I'm not sure why I might actually just have to leave it alone. 

 

It's not a huge cooler. It's a Noctua cooler. Very quiet but I can swap the noise adapters for something a bit louder but with better cooling performance.

Does it throttle back to non-turbo speed when it gets around 70? I'm confused nao.

My CPU fans run at 1,000 RPM with the ultra low noise adapters, I think 1,200 RPM with the regular adapters, and 1,600 with no adapters.

What do you guys use to measure the temperature of your Pc's?
