We actually have a classifieds website dedicated to PC hardware. o:

I've seen a couple 980s and 290s go for pretty damn cheap over there. And then there are a couple 290s that sell as much as a frickin' 1050, but those are the jet engined reference cards. :V

Sad what happened to Chester Bennington tho. :/

That's just the way it is :c

You would think that with 290s and 970s being a few generations back that they'd be fairly cheap but I've seen 290s go for well over 300 USD (like 15K pesos)...

Like, these cards are 3 years old.

I'm actually rooting for the day that all the bitcoin has been mined so you can get an old gpu for what it's actually worth. I mean, I wouldn't pay new price for a 3 year old car or a 3 year old pizza.

I guess the upside is that if I want a new gpu, I can sell my old one for pretty much what I bought it for and go straight to a new one. Major downside is if I'm a first time builder or if I want a new pc outright, I can't go a couple generations back and save a few bucks because everything is so high. :c

Didn't think anyone was still using GPUs for that - some of the more memory intensive solutions like etherium maybe, but most BTC mining went over to ASICs years ago and those aren't able to process graphics pipelines.

Damn... D:

Fortunately, used 290s don't really go over PHP10K (about $195), so, yea, not too bad. :V

970s are also similar. I guess mining isn't really a thing over here. :T
