So far: 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R: 273 mph/439 kph 1996 Honda Prelude: 236 mph/380 kph 2003 Honda Odyssey: 187 mph/301 kph. That's just where the little motor gives up. My old car would do 152. It's not necessarily a 150 mph car that I need as much as I need something to do 2nd gear pulls so my highway merges can be a little easier. Kinda hard to do it sometimes in something that pulls to 60 in 10 seconds if you're really giving it the beans. The fuel economy is no joke, though. I averaged just shy of 41 miles to the gallon last week. A little bit of city and a little bit of highway driving. 1 I refuse to let go until you're impressed. I refuse to let go until I'm depressed. On this side of the pond, diesel almost always means something like this We get lots of heavy traffic so there's no opportunity to hold speed. I just feather the throttle, leave many car lengths between me and the car in front of me, and get off the throttle when I see brake lights. LOTS of engine braking. It used to not matter that much but now I drive 20 miles one way to work. I try to make a tank last 2 weeks. I can get pretty close. Usually. Apart from that, any tips? Yes, honey. For myself I'm lucky that the roads aren't too busy and can maintain steady speed.
