But then the problem comes from people who like the show too. I've even heard someone who is a brony say they liked the show for being mindless entertainment.

 

 That's entirely the wrong reason to like this show, and it doesn't make sense because if you think it's mindless then why do you like it? And how did you even reach that conclusion if you were paying attention to it?

Why? there is nothing wrong with mindless entertainment, it doesn't mean you think the show is mindless or you don't pay attention to it, only that the reason you watch it is to pass the time rather than making time specifically for it. Personally I'm not even much of a fan of the show itself, I respect it for the writing, animation, and actors; but if not the fanbase I wouldn't really have anything to do with it.

I think you misunderstood me TSN. I was reffering to people who think of the show (Or kids shows in general) as nothing but brainless stupidity. The people who think that just because it's a cartoon or a kids show that exempts it from any kind of criticism or that the show can never have any kind of intelligence to it simply because it's those things.
