The game has lighting and shadow effects now. It has tons of cool little visuals like little bugs that scurry across the floor and drops of water falling from the ceiling and fog effects in certain areas. The game's animations are much smoother now. Everything is more detailed.

 

 And yet everyone is complaining just because they decided to use a slightly pixelated art-style. Saying the game is less detailed and looks "Lazily done".

 

 The game literally looks better in every conceivable way.

It just bugs me that all these people are complaining about it for reasons that either don't make any sense or are just blatantly untrue. I have no problem with people that are annoyed with the new music (Even though I love it myself) because of how subjective music taste is. But the people complaining about the graphics and art don't even seem to know what it is they are complaining about.

I understand that. But so many of these comments are just people talking about how bad the graphics are without even commenting on anything else. Either that or they throw a hissy fit about Rebirth not having any new content, which shows that they obviously haven't been following any of the news about the game.

Windows 8 has a lot of bugs. But I LOVE how it looks. It's just so nice! (This is completely unrelated btw)

I'm not hating on them though. I'm not saying anything bad about them. I'm just pointing out that it's pretty obvious they don't actually know what they're talking about. If they simply said they didn't like the new art it would be fine. But calling the dev team lazy just because it's slightly pixely because of a design choice, or claiming it isn't detailed is just blatantly wrong.

 

 I like the look of Windows 8 too. Though the bugs drive me insane.

 

Most of them are obviously on youtube Cross. Though there are quite a few on the Isaac wiki, and Reddit as well.
