one quite summer day the ponies of ponyville find they have all recived a mysterious letter, the letter holds within it an invitation to all who seek adventure fame and fortune to gather at the old [insert landmark] on the edge of the everfree forest.

 

and like the letter could be a trap by the cultists etc etc

The ponies who show up are captured and are going to be used as a sacrifice to please the gods. The group we play as will be the looking for the missing ponies

I like all these ideas but yeah, the 2 groups could get confusing.

Unless one we alternated? I dunno. That could get funky too :/
