Rune stepped onto the stage and gestured for Juri to give him the mic. She complied. He held it proudly in front of him and turned to a dress the audience. "Attention fans!" He shouted. "This match has been arranged as a fight to the death. So, it is only natural that the one responsible for this arrangement should take the same risk! Sole has bet his own life on his victory. So... I bet my life on the victory of Mason! Because I am as involved in this as both combatants, I must take that same risk!" He handed the mic back to Juri and stepped off the ring. The crowd was speechless, aside from a few murmurs of disbelief.

 

Topaz fell off of her seat and knelt on the ground. She felt sick and nearly threw up.

 

Mason crept into view from the shadows of the tunnel that lead to the arena. His left front leg was stretched out like a thick rope leading into the tunnel. He pulled his left like back further into his body and another form exited the darkness. Rune was clenched tightly in Masons outstretched leg, tangled in a cord of flesh. He was bruised from head to tail.

Her video logs were rolling as she watched Sole. Idiot was up all night. I hope all the extra training was worth the lack of sleep. Moron.

(This issue not like when Toguro killed Kuwabara, don't go all super mode because of what's about to happen. That being said, you'll probably get pissed.)

 

Mason laughed through his closed grin and tightened his grip on Rune. "Our fight hasn't started yet, boy, attacking me now would violate the rules. Don't want to get disqualified and doom the world, do you?" Rune hacked up a bloody cough when the grip tightened.

 

'It seems Mason is something of a fool.' Thought Rail.

 

"You really ruined something special by making friends with this pathetic worm, you and Cosmo both!" Mason yelled. "He was a sadistic murderer before Crimson went and showed him compassion! You ruined him! He could have become something strong!" He tightened his grip further, snapping Runes rips like twigs as he gasped in pain. "Let me explain this so that you can understand what I'm doing. Once upon a time there was a little unicorn child named Rune. He had a special power that made everyone afraid of him, and his parents hated him because he was a freak! One day, the little unicorn discovered the truth that he had that gift in order to be stronger by killing other sorcerers. Many years later he had become a cold killer just like he was born to become. But he lost a fight with an even stronger warrior who showed him mercy and that made him very confused. The unicorn started feeling sorry for what he'd done. Things got even worse when someone named Sole allowed Rune to heal him and they became friends. He was the first friend Rune ever had, and thus he became weak like everyone else. Let me show you how friends make you weak! I bet I can make you cry, Sole!"

 

His tail fashioned into a sharp spear and poked strait through Rune's skull. He let go of him with his leg and flung him out of the arena with his tail.

He mumbled, as he set runes body outside of the stadium carefully, before turning to mason with a look of determination "I swear... I'll tear you apart for this!" He said angrily, before jumping back into the stadium to fight mason.

crimson's gasped as he watched Runes death on the monitor in the infirmary. "RUNE! NOOOO!!" yelled crimson before jumping out of bed and turning the monitor into ashes with a fireball. "HE CHANGED! HE COULDVE BEEN SOMONE GOOD! SOMONE KIND! HE COULD HAVE BEEN A HERO!! GAAAHH" yelled crimson in rage, his blazing rage and his night of rest had been enough to heal most of his worst wounds. "im gonna kill him..." said crimson quietly, before running out of the infirmary and running into rails booth, where he sat watching the fight, "YOU BASTARD! YOU TOLD THAT FREAK TO KILL HIM! DIDNT YOU!?" asked crimson in a fiery rage, his body heat was singing the floors and peeling the paint off the walls.

"So predictable." Mason said before jumping onto the stadium. "You should really just avoid others. They always end up getting hurt or killed. Your wife was put into a coma. Rune was just killed. And let's not forget that married father of two you killed after the semi finals."

 

Juri looked at both fighters nevously. "The determining match of the Dark Tournament! Mason Versus Sole! Begin!"

 

Mason stepped his back right foot behind him and a small crack formed beneath the hoof.

(Two things. One: Rail isn't in a private booth, he's on the ground. Two: Why do you guys keep blaming Rail for the things that Mason does? Seriously, is this supposed to be a running joke? crimson growled angrily, "OUTTA MY WAY YOU OVERGROWN GARBAGE DESPOSAL!" yelled crimson before roundhouse kicking Gatsubal a few feet away, getting into a fighting stance, prepared for a counter attack from the robot. " I don't care about the damn rules anymore! screw rules, im a fucking pirate! so after im finished dismantling this fucking trashcan, im gonna break every bone in your body!" said crimson before igniting his body on fire.

 

((1. sorry, my bad. 2. I know its not rails fault, but crimson is pissed and is blaming the closest thing to mason he can, and that just happens to be rail...sorry))

Mason did nothing to dodge, furthermore, the punch was unbelievably effective, breaking through Masons face as if he were made of putty. The inside of his face looked like a solid grey mush. He appeared to be dead.

 

"Is it... already over?" Juri asked.

Gatasubal was unfazed from the hit. He didn't budge and wasn't dented thanks to his unbreakable medal arm or and sheer weight.

 

"Calm down." Rail said. "You're making a scene. Do you really think I'd want him to do that after all I have on the line including my own life? You have a brain Crimson. Use it."

The ground directly beneath Sole broke open and three fleshy tendrils shot out of it aimed for Sole's soft underbelly. The unexpectedness and speed of the attack almost insisted that Masons dirty trick would work.

 

The sight of this made Juri jump back and fall off the stadium.

((masons personality seems to be a mix df both the toguro brothers. He has the dirty underhanded side of elder, and the strength and love of battle side of younger.))

 

Sole barely had time to react, and managed to twist sideways to avoid most of the tendrils. But one managed to graze him on the side a bit. It hurt, but it wasn't life threatening, and it didn't impede his movement. With a swipe of his talons he destroyed the tendrils. "Damn... Come out and fight like you've got a pair you freak!" He said in annoyance, his body tensed and ready to move at a moments notice.

Mason crawled out of the hole completely unharmed. The first mason that Sole had punched through was still standing in the same spot. "Fogive me. I has forgotten of your impressive speed." He pulled out all of his legs, but his left hind leg broke through the concrete and revealed that it was attached to the first mason by the legs! The fake mason folded into itself and went into his leg, which returned to its normal length. "I suppose I should tell you that my body is very tricky. I can move my organs around wherever I please. When I see your attack coming, I simply adjust so that all you hit is flesh. It makes injuring me very complicated." His back right leg stretched out and entered the crack again and five tendrils shot out from under Sole.

Sole was prepared this time, and sidestepped the tendrils, before destroying them with a single swipe. "You aren't gonna get me with the same trick twice. You'll have to do better then that!" He said, before firing a chaos blast at mason.

crimson glared deeply at rail, "your right...im not gonna kill you...i'll just let sole have the honor of ripping you a new one, and your wrong, I don't exactly want you dead, I'll settle for breaking every bone in your body and a life sentence in the royal dungeons...but don't get me wrong, im still very tempted to kill you...but no matter how much I say it, I wont...because as corny as it may seem, I think that deep down you still have hope for a better equestria...as impossible as it may seem and as crazy as I sound, I still don't think this world is ready to end yet...and you will have to see that for yourself somhow..." said crimson.

sole cursed as the tendrils shot at him,and he had no time to dodge "shit!" He said, as two of the tendrils stabbed him, and several more cut him. One went through his leg, and the other through his shoulder. It hurt, but he couldn't give up. With a growl, he ripped the tendrils out and pointed his index finger at his head from almost point blank "dodge this!" He yelled, as he fired a large blast of energy at his head.

The blast was stopped by a transparent red energy shield that was only seen for the brief moment that it was used. "Its unfortunate that I'm so much older than you." Said Mason. "Their was a time when I was exactly like you, maybe then we would have had a fair fight. But I wasn't going to let myself stay as you are now. I was too smart for that. I used to protect the weak and use my power for good just like you. But I was intelligent enough to realize that I am strong and others are weak for a reason! Now I am a superior race! My body has been fused with demon anatomy, I'm nearly a century old, but I'm forever twenty one, baby! Ha ha! My experience let's me learn all sorts of new tricks. Let me show you one of my favourites!" His body was surrounded by a red aura that shot out dozens of red energy balls in multiple directions. They made a small explosion on impact. Most were aimed at Sole, but a few were flung into the audience. It was difficult to tell whether he couldn't control it, or he was attacking the audience on purpose.

He mumbled, as he coughed out some blood. He slowly stood "looks like I've gotta try even harder to kick your ass." He said, before unleashing his own storm of chaos blasts aimed at mason.

Mason was enveloped in an explosion on his side of the arena. For a while, the smoke kept anyone from seeing what had happened to him, but when the smoke cleared, he appears intact, the burn marks on his face were quickly reconstructing themself, implying that he had taken the full force of the blast and simply regenerated in that short time. "Are you holding something back?" He asked. "Or was Crimson really beaten by someone this weak?"

Mason was enveloped in an explosion on his side of the arena. For a while, the smoke kept anyone from seeing what had happened to him, but when the smoke cleared, he appears intact, the burn marks on his face were quickly reconstructing themself, implying that he had taken the full force of the blast and simply regenerated in that short time. "Are you holding something back?" He asked. "Or was Crimson really beaten by someone this weak?"

Stone watched with eager inticapation, she wanted to see sole win so she wouldn't die. But right now, she felt a bottomless pit in her stomach. And she did not want this to go on any longer. She also started to look a little on the sick side that came from her nervousness.
