"Nice to meet you, Moon Wave. I don't know all that much, but as far as I've heard, Sunny Dew wants to try to find the Bearers of the new Elements. I've heard something about the fact that they're different now, too... As in, not Elements of Harmony... I could be wrong, though."

There is an impatient knocking as Persistence grogergly opens her eyes.

"Alright, alright, you win, I'm comin'"

She opens the door and collects the scroll.

"Who the blazes would send me some fancy pants scr..."

She stops when reads the name of Equestria's soon to be crowned princess.

"Bloody hell... 12 new EoH? Huh, Ponyville, yeah that's just up the road wouldn't take long to get there"

 

 

The next morning

 

 

"Take the 256 they said, it'll take ya right to Ponyville. Bloody morons"

Persistence stops outside the library

"Well I still got 'ere on time, I hope"

She walks up and knocks on the door, hearing voices inside.

Fire just looked at the pony, thinking about what she said.

"You may have come first, right in the beginning you may have been the only organised force that Equestria had but the Equestrian military has been working, doing what you were meant to be doing for years. You are considered show ponies for the public. You may have been there for the fight and death of the original elements but I was there on those very front lines, My team and I were the ones doing the real fighting while you were a distraction. You guards have been useless for decades and don't you dare you dare deny that. You have been living in the past and have been there for show. So don't you dare boast about what you did to fight because ponies died on that day, ponies that had more honour than you will ever have and don't you dare disrespect them."

Fire was angry, the loss of her team was still hurting her and she couldn't put up with a mare that could disrespect them.

She walked away with flaring nostrils and looked for any other ponies that had arrived.

she went for a stallion that looked like he had just come in and calmed down a bit so she wouldn't scare him or anything.

"Hello, I'm Fire sharp."

He turns his head looking at a mare who seems to have been a military pony before. He smiles, "Hello, nice to meet you, I'm Winter Chill. So, what's going on around here..?" He looks around seeing more ponies showing up and ponies inside the library itself then looks back at the mare he is talking to.

" Lyona narrowed her eyes at the pony. You act as if you're the only one who's lost somepony. She seethed.

Lyona flattened down her mane, it always got a little bit puffy when she was agitated. She waved to the pony behind the door, a forced smile on her face.

Fire smiled, the stallion seemed to be a good distraction. Until the mare she was speaking too before spoke up. She turned around, intending that this was going to be the last time she talked with this mare. @@LittleRawr,

Midnight was pretty bored. Ever since the fall of the princesses he hasn't gotten any type of mission, not even something simple like a lost pet. His cave was silent like it always was. That was until the newly installed alarmsystem went of. It was a brand new one he got a month or two ago. Midnight got to the entrance and saw a scared mailpony holding a scroll.

"I didn't even think anypony besides me knew of this place" He thought before turning the ringing bells off.

"Sorry about that ma'am. I didn't think I'd ever get a letter here." Midnight said with a little bit of shame in his voice. Before taking the piece of paper with his magic he asked how the female pegasus even knew about this place. "I got send here by my boss. He said the come to be princess, Sunny Dew, wanted these to be delivered as soon as possible." Was the anwser Midnight got from the mailpony.

With the scroll, as well as some other things, being held with his simple levitation spell Midnight went back in to read it.

 

"Ponyville? It's been a while since my last visit there." It had been a while indeed. Even before the Poison Hex became the currently most wanted criminal Midnight hasn't been there in years.

"The library? Well, I won't really need a map then. And a train ticket. Most likely for the others who live way further away than I do. Should be because now there are in fact twelve elements opposed to the previous six."

Midnight trotted outside and used his levitation to seal his so called house's entrance with a giant rock.

 

Once Midnight hit the bottom of the mountain he started to go full speed ahead heading towards Ponyville.

Dodging trees left and right while thinking back about the times he had gone to other countries for things like infiltration and somewhat more boring, but also more peaceful, diplomacy duties. The times where he saved small towns from monsters while everypony was asleep. Because of all those thoughts it seemed like just a minute or two before arriving in Ponyville.

 

When he found the library, which was a bit harder than expected, Midnight knocked on the door hoping he wasn't too late.

"That sounds like a pretty legit statement, mhm~" Moon replied. "But the bearers of the new elements.. Oh well. Even for a blind Pegasus like me, I still have a good chance at getting it~!"

There was a knock on the door behind her, which she responded by walking to it and opening up the door for Midnight.

"Why hello there. Have you come to meet up at the Library as well?"

Winter looks over Fire seeing a pony speaking at her and waits for a while looking about seeing if he can do something. He nods in actual agreement, "I see.. So these 12 elements... Hmmm...", he starts thinking about the these elements are for knowing that the bearers of the Elements of Harmony have passed away.

" Show pony? You're calling me, a former commander, a show pony?" Lyona's hair was beginning to fluff up. " I've been on several missions prior to the war, and in every single one of them I lost somepony. But I didn't let the loss dominate me, because I still had hope that everything would turn out okay." Lyona turned away from the rude pony, looking for somepony else to talk to.

"That's right." Midnight replied while taking a quick look around. "Is everypony else here for the same reason?"

He didn't see any sign of the library being closed so there may have been a chance that some of these ponies are here for the simple reason that they like reading.

Midnight was intrigued by some of the books which said things like "Advanced magic", "Train faster" and the like under the magic section of the library.

fire closed her eyes, keeping herself calm so she didn't hurt the mare behind her. She looked at the thinking stallion in front of her.

"Sorry about this."

Fire turned around, every bone in her body wanting to hurt the mare in front of her. She was stirring Fire up and the only thing keeping her in place was her training she had long ago. 'Don't get mad at a show pony, they don't know any better.'

Fire calmed down and her next words were slow and very quiet.

 

"'A few missions before the war' how that must have been the worst thing before the war is something beyond me. I am a Commander in the Equestrian Military, I fought for over 20 years before the Element war. I fought in wars that you have never heard of and were never called to help because your useless to the everyday battles that go on each and every day. Right now there are young ponies that are fighting, trying to keep the ongoing wars away from the public while you're here sitting on your ass. I just got back from a battle where I lost my entire team. I'm expected to go back after this and assemble another one. I have lost more than you ever will and I know for a fact that these wars will continue. You may feel that some things are safe here and thats why your filled hope or whatever it is that keeps you happy but I know what's really going on out there. I have lost every single pony that I have ever loved and things have been done in the war that I'm not proud of. Understand mare, you are a Show pony."

fire walked away from that, she couldn't take talking to that mare anymore before she would do some serious damage.

Winter looks at Fire with a slight hint of confusion as she turns around and starts talking to the mare behind her. While waiting, he moves back a bit, knowing that it'll be some sort of personal business. After a while as Fire walks away from the mare, Winter approaches her, "What was that all about..? Well, you don't really have to tell me, just really need a general idea of what is going on."

" You think that I didn't know what was happening? I was a commander for goodness' sake, I obviously knew that there were wars all over the place. I may have not lost as much as you, but it doesn't mean my friends' sacrifices were worthless. Pain is pain, no matter if you're a guard or a soldier." Lyona called to her, before walking off to the other part of the room. I need something to take my mind off things, maybe a book would do...

"Sorry Winter, it's just military ponies have thing against guards, their considered show ponies. And I've lost way too many soldiers because of a show pony. She kind of stirring me up."

Fire explained to winter what was going on, she felt that since she was hanging out with him in this library that he should know that there was now something between Lyona and herself.

Fire heard what the mare said and she stopped, trying to control herself from hurting the mare. She had walked away from her twice now and she was just riling her up. She knew that if lyona really knew what was going out there then she would've gone out to fight, and she knew nothing of the sacrifices she had made.

"See, she really has no idea what's going on out there and I really should be out fighting but instead I'm out here."

Fire had almost the depressing look back on her face, she had lost another team and the deaths were really getting to her. She couldn't keep going but she had no choice, she was to stay in the service until she died but the show ponies could leave at any time. Of course lyona said that she wasn't a commander anymore and that did sting.

"Well, in times of war, no one is really safe... Any soldier out there has this fear that at any moment they'll just die from anything... But do not burden yourself with the loss of your comrades... They fought valiantly to protect and serve the right thing. So don't burden yourself too much. Just relax." Winter pats Fire on the shoulder, smiling. "I'll go have a look around the library, might find something useful about these 12 elements in here..."

Amour was in her shop, currently studying a strange cake request. Some crazy pony  had asked for a topsy turvy cake! A cake that started in one tier and ended in three! How in the wide wide world of Equestria was she supposed to do that?!

 

"Ugh...Sometimes ponies take advantage of the fact that my sign says 'Creativity is welcomes with open hooves'..."She muttered, but none the less started preparing to bake the first tier of the cake. At the most she would have to attend the ceremony and use her magic to hold the cake upright throughout the ceremony and reception. She actually had no problem with that, she loved seeing ponies get married.

 

A loud knock on her door, caused her to break out of reverie. She opened the door to the see the mail pony. "Hello, Miss Amour." The stallion, greeted. "Got some mail for ya, and a real nice looking scroll."

 

"A scroll?" Amour repeated looking surprised. She had never gotten a scroll before, usually she just got invitations to weddings! "Thanks!" She called as the mail pony left.

 

She pushed all of her regular mail to the side and opened the scroll. As she read its contents her eyes widened gradually to the size of saucers.

 

"Twelve new elements?" She gasped.And just like that she was off, putting materials away and shoving everything back into the cabinets. She hurriedly put up the closed sign and dashed outside in the direction of the Library.

Upon reaching the door, she knocked on it excitedly.

There was a nod in a different direction then intended to Midnight, but it still was for him. "Pretty much babe~ Some are in here to look around for books and all, but we have our own little separate part to chat, or at least I think we do.

She turned around for a bit to lead him in and get settled in. At that time she almost ran into a bookshelf but stopped herself when she felt her hoof get close to it.

"By the way, the name's Moon Wave. If you ever need to talk with someone, then i'm here for you~"

Lyona looked away from her bookshelf to hear another knock on the door. She walked up, opening it.

 

" Hi!" She smiled, looking at the pony. " Come on in, it's public library after all."

 

I sound as if I'm the owner. Lyona mentally berated herself. But I couldn't just leave sompony standing there.

"Midnight Blade, nice to meet you. Now if you'd excuse me I'd like to read some of the books over there."

Midnight immediatly realized what situation she was in but ignored it for the time being because he was afraid it might be a touchy subject.

 

When he opened one of the books he read something about a spell he'd been trying to learn for a few months now. "So that's what I've been doing wrong." He said without realizing it escaped his mouth. Midnight closed his eyes, it was something he always did while he wanted to memorize something. It was a type of spell which could be handy in a somewhat dangerous situation.

He wouldn't be able to use it in there, the library was way to small for such a spell.

Apolyon had come to ponyvill 2 days ago and had stayed with his brother. Nothing that ether of Apolyon's egos had considered interesting they came here for a reason and that was for today. Grabbing his saddlebag and putting some basic items in it, before heading out to the ponyvill library. Once arriving at the library he knocked on the door than waited for a response.

"Hi!" Amour burst into the library after being let in by the mare--Possibly the librarian. She saw many other ponies were there as well, but she didn't wasn't sure if they were everyday library goers or because of...

"So, uh..."She began loudly, "Is everybody else here because of the letter?"She asked, only thinking later, that perhaps she shouldn't have been so loud about it. "The letter...That's a pretty average...letter?" She said trying to cover up her possible blunder.

Lyona smiled at the mare's enthusiasm.

 

" I'm here because of the letter, I'm pretty sure some of the others are here because of that as well." She looked around, then back at the mare. " I'm pretty sure that this amount of ponies are not all here to check out a book at the same time. "

 

The letter? Hmm... Lyona thought, tapping a hoof against her chin. " I don't think that it's normal for twelve new elements to be discovered."  Lyona said wryly.

Persistence had started browsing through the many romance books (some novel, some 'fact') the library had to offer, when she came across something that surprised her.

"Bloody 'Ell! I thought I was only published in Southilise"

She pulls out the book,

"'Violets In The Night' I published this just before Princess Luna returned. I wonder if I should write somethin' in her memory. Maybe I should write something for all the fallen Princesses, it might be nice..."

'I really should stop talking aloud now'

Chamois hadn't needed to pack too much.  She only packed her usual.  Her folder acted as a saddle bag.  In it, she had paper, a pencil, charcoal, pens, markers, oil pastels, chamois, tissue, a few bits, and a few finished pieces of art.  And she didn't have to go very far either.  She only had to go to the library.  in was within walking distance from her home.

When she reached said library, she pushed the door open and wandered inside.  She found a number of other ponies already there, some of them seeming to be waiting for something.
