planning Innocence Lost (Planning & Discussion)

Lately, I've been planning to write a fanfic based around a hypothetical human invasion, but, since I don't have the time to dedicate to a fanfiction of such length for the time being, I thought a roleplay on this forum might be the best way to go (The aforementioned fic being discussed here a while ago http://mlpforums.com/topic/64072-human-invasion-fanfic-writers-block-plot-issues/#entry1573870). As you can guess, the plot is very much a work in progress, but I've already established a few key points:

 

1. The humans are in a very tough spot, likely due to a lack of resources, space, or some kind of catastrophic disaster. The only reason they are invading Equestria is because they have to.

 

2.Magic doesn't work on Earth or things from our universe, except in the case of things created by magic, including blasts of energy and whatever else.

 

3. Discord can really only be killed by humans in our universe, or by attacks he cannot or did not predict or protect against.

 

4. The royal guard is primarily ceremonial in nature, although they are trained to fight, and are the only real military force that Equestria possesses. Still, the royal guards and whatever militia the ponies whip up will generally be woefully under-equipped to fight humans, and they'll primarily rely on powerful individuals such as the Elements of Harmony, the Princesses, and Shining Armor, for defense.

 

5. Players can play as either human or pony, or whatever else exists in/on Equestria.

 

6. The roleplay will take place in the relatively near future, if not in a sci fi-ish era.

 

7. Ponies will generally be astonished by human technology, whether in a curious, angered, or frightened manner.

 

8. The humans are not evil. They're more than willing to take surrendered ponies prisoner

This sounds like a cool roleplay.  I am interested in participating, but I don't have much experience yet.  I have only been in two roleplays, and both died pretty quick.  I hope that I am not some sort of jinx.

Very interesting concept, I'll join if it's not too fast and there's some quality posting. Can we be canon ponies or humans (lol playing as Obama)? 

I'll probably allow canon ponies and/or humans assuming people can do them justice. In other words, the expectations will be higher for canon and important characters.

I used to be a newbie once. Trust me, it's quite alright.

I find it very laudable that you don't potray humans as pony-raping and slaughtering scum.

Hell, you gave them even a good reason to invade equestria.

I'll put my OC Redstorm in.

The only problem is, not alot of people make human OC's... you may have a bit of a trouble there.

Will do, and, speaking of Fluttershy, her newfound friendship with Discord will make her quite important to the plot.

 

Then I'd like to be Joe Biden

 

I'd be interested in being one of the mane six, say Dashie or Pinkie. Whatever you need to see from me for the application, just tell me.

To be honest, they'd need a damn good reason if they want the public to support military action against colourful cartoon horses/mythical variations thereof.

I'll put my OC Redstorm in.

The only problem is, not alot of people make human OC's... you may have a bit of a trouble there.

Hopefully people aside from me will have enough sympathy for their own species to even out the number of humans to ponies.

Everyone's chars look fine so far, except for Fireblaze and Redstorm, since your links are dead. Oh, and I have to go on a mandatory camping trip until Friday afternoon, so I can't post the thread(s) ntil then.
