Discord, Changeling Queen, Sombra, etc. Because of something did attack them they could just go into BOSS MODE and destroy it instantaneously. I mean, having a crown or necklace on top of your head or around your neck at all times at that size would be kind of strenuous and ridiculous. I know, you could argue about common sense, willing suspension of disbelief and all that stuff now, but it's simply a necessary element of the show in order to create suspense when a new villain occurs. Somehow I don't think that's going to work if they want to have their own lives. If you want to go dark with it, though, there are usually side-effects from lengthy exposure to artifacts. Anyways, I agree with the fact and reasonable explanation being that the Elements of Harmony are worn for emergency purposes. When it's extremely urgent to have them on, like when facing a super powerful villain for example. Other than that, I'd say Statetheoblivious nailed it right there. Where would the fun and suspense be if they had the elements on them all the time? There's no fun in that! SkyBound 829 August 21, 2013 Share August 21, 2013 It would be quite a nuisance to have to wear either the necklaces or the big crown thingy all the time and, as it has already been pointed out, all six of them would have to be together at all times for there to be any use. Which mean no really personal life at all if they are in a constant state of paranoia. In essence, Equestria seems like a safe enough place that one would not have to walk around with one of the most powerful magical artifacts on at all times. Honestly, would you want someone walking around with a rocket launcher at all times for the off chance something bad might happen? (Yes, I know, rather poor example). So in turn the Elements of Harmony don't need to be worn all the time. I think having them separately is a bad idea as well because without one of the elements the others are rendered useless. So, they don't need to wear them all of the time. Cadence saved the day because changlings blocked the way. With the 'it would kind of be a bother', feel sorry for Twilight, she has no choice but to wear it almost 24-7 now. Given that the elements reformed around the Mane6 is episode 2 after being 'destroyed', plus the events in Magical Mystery Cure and Equestria Girls, there's a good chance that the Mane6 are sufficiently bonded to the elements to use them remotely, or summon them as needed. Yes, they did run into some trouble, and the elements didn't work for quite some time due to the ponies being the exact opposite of their element, but they never failed to have them back and running again and always doing justice. It would get kind of annoying to have to wear a necklace of that size all the time, especially when you have to sleep. Plus, they could get mange underneath of the necklaces. Plus, somepony could just grab the crown from them outside. My laptop is really useful, and there's so much I can do with it, but I wouldn't take it everywhere. Edit: I completely forgot about Celestia Girls, where it seems Twilight is supposed to wear her crown everywhere. That's just because she's a princess, but does that mean that the others are only supposed to wear it when they have to?
