Rascal~ 657 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 I don't know how many of you watch Doctor Who, and I Don't know how many of you have heard the news... But NASA has found a Planet that is a lot like the homeworld of the Doctor and anyone who's gallifreyan. You can read here about what NASA has found and it explains how it's close to the planet of Gallifrey http://digitaljournal.com/article/331857 But all I have to say is this. We have found Gallifrey. 2 Fire Sharp Stardust Sai Time Scribe Chai
Scootalove 10,692 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 It has finally been done! Now, that we have found Gallifrey it is time to make as many Doctor Who references as possible. It's really good to discover another planet. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Gone for good 1,593 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 This is pretty cool and all, but it is even cooler when real life imitates Futurama. Remember that seven leaf clover episode? Yeah some kid found just that. 1 Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. I don't regret the friends i made but man i was cringe here
Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,208 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 Yep, I know nothing about Doctor Who, so I am at a loss, but me being a space nut, I love hearing about this stuff. So it is two planets orbiting two stars? That is incredibly neato. I actually thought of an idea like that for a story once but it was very vague. Redeem me into childhood. Sunbro 4 Lyfe 939 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 @@Kyoshi, Seeing as how you're a space nut you NEED to watch this. It has it's only prom every year in England. And by prom I mean an entire orchestra of instruments playing over live action stuff like a cult meeting. I think that's how it works... Anyway yeah I think you'd like it. LittleRawr 679 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 YESYESYESYEYSYEYSYYSYSYYSYSYSYYSYEYSYSY- Imagine if they actually name it(Kepler 47-c) Gallifrey? That would be so cool! Excuse my extreme fangirling, I really like Doctor Who. 1 Signature by Azura
Kip the Dip 56 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 A magnificent find, but not quite the home of the Time Lords. Kepler-47 is 5,000 light-years from Earth, whereas Gallifrey is 250 million light-years from Earth. Alternatively, it could be 30,000 light years at least, depending on your choice of canon. (Source: TARDIS data core.) Not to mention the fact that Gallifrey doesn't even exist anymore. Perhaps this is the pony equivalent Gallopfrey? Sunbro 4 Lyfe 939 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 Perhaps if we put our kids there, they'll eventually develop two hearts and change their anatomy upon near-death... And if we wait a few millennia more, they'll be growing their own Tardis-i.... Tardi? What would the plural be for Tardis? Anyway YEAH! MAKE IT HAPPEN SCIENCE! 1 "You really are fond of chatting with me, aren't you? If I didn't know better, I'd think you had feelings for me!" Solaire of Astora. idonotreallycare 94 August 27, 2013 Share August 27, 2013 I love coincidences like this! Are they actually going to start calling it Gallifrey, or will they keep calling it Keplar-47c? That being said, I honestly don't watch Dr. Who that much anymore; I only watch it if nothing else is on. I did watch it a lot a few years after the reboot aired, but the I only remember the basic plot of it.
