I personally thought that this would make a fun, interesting topic.

Basically, you get to live in an anime world with all of this interesting stuff going on. It follows the genre you want and stuff...

 

And now you can choose what your love interest is like.

Describe your ideal love interest that you would like to have in such an anime.

Describe the personality, looks, backstory, and anything else for your love interest.

 

You know... You could have them be some pink or black haired tsundere or moe character with some saddening backstory, or some guy who never has his shirt on with. I dunno. What would you prefer him or her to be like?

 

No, do not base this love interest completely off of your real life preferences. o.o

Also, the character and yourself will look as 2D as most anime, and you won't exactly be aware of this.

 

Tl;dr You are the main character of an anime who gets a love interest. YOU get to decide how they look, their personality, and any backstory they may have.

 

Also do your best NOT to just take an anime character from an already existing anime.

 

If you don't feel like you'd like that, you really don't have to make them the opposite gender.

Hell, my love interest would be female no matter my gender.

 

My ideal anime love interest:

 

 

Recently, there's been a new anime character that's been on my mind. Before I saw her, my ideal love interest kind of fit her, but she fit a bit more. This anime character is Tsukiyo Kujy?, so if you needed to see the closest you could get to any ideal anime love interest for me, she's the one.

 

 

 

 

For a while, shorter girls with long blonde hair have really appealed to me. You could easily tell if you've seen me mention Tsukiyo, Kobato, Alice Cartelet and Azuki Azusa before. They're probably favorite characters in anime. They're all short and have long blonde hair. Because whatever anime I'd be in would usually take place in a school, I'd prefer them wearing the school uniform properly, and with them wearing short sleeved uniforms occasionally.

The smaller the breasts, the better. 

 

In terms of personality, the quiet, easily embarrassed, and intelligent kind of character would appeal to me. Not exactly the moe or clumsy type of character, though. Not exactly somebody with a cold personality, but not really the one who would approach others to chat either.

 

In terms of backstory... I really don't care much. The "childhood friend" backstory has been done to death, but really, I'd love if my anime love interest was a childhood friend that I forgot about after either of us moved away, then met in highschool.

I mean, that's been done so much, but I really like it.

Other than that, I don't care for a backstory for a love interest. She could have one, or could not. She's my love interest and whatever her past is, that wouldn't change the fact that I'd love her.

 

So in a nutshell, my ideal anime love interest would be a short, quiet girl with long hair. Easily embarrassed and intelligent, the backstory does not really matter.

 

 

 

I dunno. I'm sorry, I just really wanted to make this topic to share, then see what other's ideal anime love interests are.

Well, this could actually be a bit fun..here we go, I'm going with a girl:

 

Looks

 

Personally, I would love a girl who wore black boots, any type of dress or even a skirt+shirt combo. Long Black flowing hair or maybe some purple or ice blue streaks in the hair, that doesn't really matter. Bright purple eyes would be gorgeous.

 

 

Personality 

 

I suppose the dark type would do. The type that's a bit cold to everyone else but actually shows her true kind self around me. She likes the things I like and can even be goofy from time to time. I would love someone who is intelligent, so that's a major plus.

 

 

Backstory 

 

Honestly...I'm not really sure of one. Any type of backstory will do.

I would like someone kind of on the taller side. I am 5'4'', so at least 5'7''. For hair, I really like people with dark hair colors, so blacks and browns. But I really like platinum blonde, or silvery hair. For their clothes, they can wear what they want. But I do like some personalized accessories, such as coats, hats, etc.

 

TLDR: Dante from the DMC series.

 

Personality:

I would like for them to be caring, thoughtful and witty. someone who can cheer me up if I am feeling down. But I also wouldn't mind if they had a bit of a darker side to them, something that I can see when they open up to me. i too have my own darker shades, so it would give us something we can connect and relate to on an emotional basis. But they need to be repsonsible, and accountable for their words/actions. I would not want some childish boy, I'd want a mature man.

 

Backstory:

Nothing too tragic or depressing that could but a burdening weight on the relationship. I am all for helping those who have had a rough life, but I don't want it to affect mine in a negative way either. before you look after others, you must care for yourself . But no specific backstory comes to my mind.

You know, it's hard to say. Love is not something that can be defined BEFORE you find it. We've all got our preferences, of course, but in the end those preferences might end up being totally different from who we fall in love with, ya know?

 

I know not everyone is gonna agree with me on this but new Dante > old Dante. I like both of their looks pretty much the same but as far as personality the new Dante has WAY more. He seems to care more about the people around him (when he actually starts caring, that is. Otherwise he's just a "feh whatever" kind of guy)

I don't know why, but black haired boys seem very fitting in anime. Dark hair and anime fit together. But, I have a personal preference towards blondes for some reason. I just like light features, pastel features, and vivid eyes. Um, wow okay This isn't of course, necessary though. I'm not picky at all when it comes to anime boys. They're usually gorgeous. with nice bodies

Cheerfully naive and optimistic, so he probably can't read the atmosphere. Smiling more than he isn't. Teasing more than he isn't because he "thinks the way I react is cute" even when it isn't, not too pushy, but just pushy enough, just whiny enough, just full of enough of it that I can scold him and coddle him with the same relative frequency. Also... I'm already plenty smart and insecure and unable to say how I feel to who wants to hear it and needs to hear it. I don't need any of that difficulty when dealing with boys. ...

...I'm afraid to set foot in this thread. But I think I will, due to my anime urge. To be honest, my ideal love interest would be that strange, mysterious girl with the long black hair and cold eyes. I'd want to...talk to her. Bring her out of her lonely or shy nature and be a person that she could talk to. I love girls with long red hair in anime as well, but they'd have to have red eyes to match them, and that's...uncommon, unless they're demongirls. That's...a tad bit off-topic but yeah. Tall, mysterious, quiet, and looking for the right person to open up to.
