I love creating interesting compositions with fractals.  I felt that MLP:FiM afforded me a subject that provides highly recognizable palettes and themes.  Even with just working through the Mane 6 (I intend to hit some support and bg later), I learned quite a bit and feel later pieces are better.  Compare Rainbow or Apples to Magic or Party.  Which is your favorite?

This is very interesting, and you don't see many fractals going about so its pretty original. Definitely relating to ponies anyway.

 

For the poll I was having a hard time deciding between flutter and rainbow, but I settled on rainbow.

I love pattern on the magic fractals !

It's like a square inside a circle then a square inside that square with amazing colors  .

Keep up the great work, I'll love to see more in the future.

Fractals have been a passion of mine since I ran FractInt on a 286 with EGA graphics.  These are done with the paid version of Ultra Fractal on an iMac, so, it's been a long, crazy trip!  I want to work on color/zoom animations once I get the time.

Not at all, I have these all rendered for 1920x1080 specifically for wallpaper, although I need to host them somewhere that doesn't resize by default.  I'm not sure what the best sites for that are, but I'm also willing to do INSANE resolution renders if there is demand.

 

Maybe do a DeviantArt and sell posters....  XD

Decided to do a little bonus render.  Tried to focus on "scales" and spine ridge.

 

Running into the issue where some of these fractals are great...others are a bit mediocre.  Now, I could try and recreate the Mane 6 now, or continue with more ancillary characters to get better overall and then return to the Mane 6.  I don't know, screw it all, I'm gonna play Rocksmith now.

You should totally make wallpapers with fractals. Like, with all the possible monitors resolutions. And then you could make a new topic with them all. I'd so download them!

Huh, so far I'm the only one who likes the Jewels one the best?   I think it's quite pretty.

 

My only problem with the Flutter one is that it unfortunately triggers an inappropriate "totally looks like" loop in my head. :/  They are all very pretty, though.

...you're not the first to say so, but I just don't see it myself.  In my head, I only see a soft of butterfly, but these are sorta Rorschach tests anyway.
