(Just to clarify, Gallant Pursuit is Ardent Discharge/Prayer. His name's been annoying me for a while and I finally got around to changing it)

The blistering heat of the day was beginning to fade as the sun set on Equestria. Princess Luna had been raising the moon earlier and earlier over the recent weeks, but nopony knew why - not even her sister understood why she wanted the night set so early, but with an earlier sunrise as compromise, she wasn't concerned.

Gallant Pursuit was sat across the street from the Mane and Tale Inn in a diner's open yard in Canterlot, enjoying what would presumably be his final proper meal for some time to come. "Judgin' by the sun...or lack thereof, i'd say it's time." He mumbled to himself before calling out to the diner's owner. "Bits're on the table, i'll leave it t'you to bring 'em in."
"Sure thing, you gonna be back tomorrow? We have a special on the salad."

"Not tomorrow i'm 'fraid. I'll be gone a while."

"Ah well, good luck man, i'll save you somethin' for when you get back."

He found it funny how he had been getting quite accustomed to the Inn over these past few weeks, being out and about exploring all the time, Gallant Pursuit didn’t really have a home – but the inn seemed to be becoming just that as of late. He had even learned the origins of the name - apparently it had been through a name change a while ago, deriving its new name from the amount of old and retired adventures that gathered there to share their stories. As he approached the counter, a hoarse voice called over to him;
“The usual?”
“Not today, I need to keep focused for tonight.” Gallant replied.
“Going on another one of your crazy treasure hunts?”
“Nah, not this time. I can’t say what, but it’s something important.”
“Of course it is.” The barkeep said, with a disbelieving - almost sarcastic tone, as he slid a glass of water over the counter.
Shooting a cocky smile, and taking the water in his mouth, Gallant nodded, and headed over to a table near the ale barrels in the corner of the room.

"Some o' the fliers have been taken down...with some luck, we'll have a crew by tonight."

He sat back in his chair in the corner of the room and lit a candle on the table, waiting for the others to arrive.

"They know where to meet. They'll come." He attempted to reassure himself, not often being one to rely on others.

(Your first post should be about your characters arriving at the inn. Obviously your characters will have taken the fliers, so they know where to be meeting up and when. Apparently I forgot to mention, the inn is in Canterlot)

Goldseek read over the flier. He was at the right place, as it would seem. And, not late. That was a major improvement. He trotted towards the inn. It wasn't exactly a place he would normally go to, but it was where he was supposed to meet up. Why he was even here, he didn't know. For whatever reason, he decided to take a flier about some quest or something. All well. His life was becoming mundane anyway. A bit of excitement couldn't hurt. He pushed open the door and sat down at the nearest table, observing the inn.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, a rather...strange being made her way into the town towards the inn.

From the waist down she was...a snake...and got allot of strange looks, which she just ignored.

On her back she wore a very large backpack with a some travel supplies hanging from small hooks all over the bag. Most would look passed the pots and pans but the thing ponies eye's lingered on was a large looking crossbow and something that resembled a chain mace...or ball and chain...whatever its called. With one difference being the chain much longer than a normal chain mace...by at least several feet...even though it was difficult to tell since the weapon was coiled up and strapped to the side of her bag.

The snakepony slithered through the town silently, keeping her eyes focused on the upcoming inn.
A moment later she was pushing open the door and slithering in, taking a minute to scan the room. She stayed in the same spot by the door for a minute before slithering up to the counter. "I'd like a water." She said, eyeing the colt behind the counter who, gave her a nod and trotted off to get her her drink, giving her a second glance as he went.
She sighed before dropping her bag next to the bar, taking off her cloak and placing it in her bag and sitting down on a bar stool, curling her tail below the bar.

"Is it true that they say earth ponies eat rocks? Of course that can't be true, we all know earth ponies eat cabbages with humbleness as a side dish."

Blitz Blaze was walking down a narrow alleyway in the middle of Canterlot. He picked the particular damp road because he thought it would serve as a nice shortcut. The ultramarine stallion wasn't carrying anything on himself other than a rugged cape on his back, and a single ember floating in his telekinesis, his horn glowed dimly. He snickered from an nonexistent joke.

"Oh, you're such a killer. Who told you all that rubbish? You can't take what everypony said to you as a truth. Take them with a grain of salt, and a peck of pepper." He paused and took a turn around a corner. His ears flicked once. "Hm, you're right. Sometimes it is for the best to open our ears for all opinions."

His horn flared briefly, a simple dark blue circle appeared on the ground below him. He ignored it and continued on his path. "Yes, I can agree with you. Just a few days ago I decided to open my ears for once and-" A muffled scream from somewhere behind him, followed with a small explosion. Few cobblestones pieces rained down on Blitz Blaze. A soft thud of a limp body hitting the floor could be heard. "Where was I? Ah, yes, I listened for the crowd back in the university, and you wouldn't believe me what I heard back there..."

Mane and Tale inn. Blitz stood in front of the door, examining his surroundings. The building was a bit too rusty for Blitz's taste, but it would still serve its purpose. He pushed the door aside and trotted in. An interesting sight near the bar caught his attention. "A snake pony...? How peculiar," he mused. His eyes traced the coiling tail of the snake pony. He had a mixed opinion on the half-pony species, being them essentially half-carnivore. Nevertheless, he trotted to the corner of the room where a lone stallion sat. "I take it you're Gallant Pursuit? I'm here for the expedition," Blitz said a matter-of-factly. The unicorn took a chair and waited until Gallant made his move.

It was probably about time he got moving. Aquila stood on the cloud he'd been resting on, stretching out his leathery wings while he slipped his book into his saddlebags, near his sword hilt. The Thestral glided off the cloud, making his way towards the Mane and Tale Inn.

A few days ago, when he was walking to the library, he'd spotted a flyer plastered to a building corner. Normally, he didn't take these things. But this one just seemed... Worth it. Aquila had given up trying to explain it. All he cared about was it gave him a chance to actually do something... Important. Or something that felt important. He enjoyed the library, of course. It was nice and quiet. But he had started to suffer from his mother's wanderlust. She'd always told him he would, and now, it seems she was right.

The Thestral flapped his wings only a few times to stay aloft as he glided for the inn. Upon reaching it, he spiraled downward until he alighted on the walk way before the door. Aquila stepped forward, folding his wings loosely against his sides as he pushed the door aside. It took his eyes a little to adjust to the light inside the building. It was bright inside than out, and his eyes were more accustomed to the dark by nature.

There were the normal patrons. He'd rarely set hoof in here. One time he'd come with his father, but that had ended in a bar fight between his father and a rather inebriated griffin. Aquila smiled slightly at the memory. It was amusing, now he was older. There was one pony that stood out to him, however. She was... A naga? A pony-like being whose lower half was that of a snake. Some referred to them simply as snakeponies, but Aquila had always read them being called naga, so this was what he adopted in us vocabulary. He'd read about them on various occasions, but never met one.

As much as he wanted to start speaking with her, Aquila refrained, instead ducking into one of the darker recesses of the building, so his eyes could adjust at a more comfortable level. Many thought Thestrals stood in dark corners merely because they were plotting to kill you. Whether those who believed this took it seriously or as a joke, Aquila wasn't sure. He'd never really bothered to explain that it was so their eyes could adjust to light in comfort. Thestral eyes didn't work the same way as other ponies. They saw better in the dark, than the light.

When his eyes had adjusted appropriately, Aquila stepped out of his recess, making his way to the naga. He cleared his throat quietly to get her attention, "Excuse me," - How did he refer to her? Miss? Or was she a Mrs.? Would calling her ma'am be appropriate? Aquila eventually settled on one. If he got it wrong, she'd let him know - "Miss. I sincerely hope I am not being rude. I couldn't help but notice you're a naga. I never believed I'd meet one of your kind during my life."

He smiled slightly, revealing his fang like canines, "My name is Aquila. It is a pleasure to meet you."

Violet looked the colt...er...Thestral over for at least a minute before she took a sip of her water that the bar tender had just placed in front of her.
She placed the glass back down on the table before Finally replying to Aquila. "Violet Strike." She said, ignoring his hoof, still eyeing him suspiciously. "You're a Thestral...er batpony...interesting." She said before looking across the bar, her expression rather blank. "Brave of you...just walking up to a snakepony...most are afraid I'll eat them, never imagined a Thestral of all to say hello considering snakes will eat bats if given the chance...but you seem sensible enough to know that not all naga's will do that...some do of course." She cracked a grin in his direction, doing what she always did and hoping to freak him out as she sipped her water again. "So, Aquila...are you part of Luna's guard? Or just a traveler?" She asked, glancing over his shoulder at his wings before looking back up at his face. "And are you here for the expedition or whatever the buck it's called?" She asked, not caring if she sounded rude.

Slowly, casually, Lost Knowledge entered the bar. The place was rather low brow for his taste, but he wasn't here for the atmosphere anyway. He trotted to the bar and ordered a glass of port, sitting back and observing the rest of the bar's patrons. The rest of the group for this "expedition" would surely make themselves obvious soon enough. Until then, he would wait and enjoy his drink.

(I'm a year behind, but I just finished playing Spec Ops: The Line. I see only a dark future ahead for my mental stability right now.)

Gallant was leaning back in his chair still, watching the door as a few more patrons entered the inn. One, a stallion with a cyan mane and an almost deceptive attire, took a seat near the door, not too far from himself. Gallant passed a quick glance over in his direction, observing what he could about him in a short period of time without making himself obvious.

His cutie mark was a treasure chest, just from that alone it was obvious he was to be interested in the expedition - he also seemed to wear his smile like he wore his clothing, a very...confident look about himself, if nothing else.

The second to enter the inn was a naga. Gallant had been to all four corners of Equestria and back, and they where still a rare enough site, even for him. She took a seat at the bar and ordered a simple glass of water. He chuckled, knocking his own glass with his hoof as a sort of confirmation to himself that she was at least sensible. Still...that didn't mean he wouldn't have to watch his tongue where she was concerned, she could probably still kill him with a bite, nevermind the weapons she was carrying.

@@Starshine

However, as he was caught with his attention on the naga, he was suddenly snapped back to attention by a voice calling his name. He shook his head and blinked rapidly a few times, bringing himself around as he leaned forwards in a formal manner. "Indeed I am" he replied with a single confirming nod of his head. "Glad t' hear it, and from the looks o' things you're not the only one who decided to show up tonight." He gestured to the two other arrivals with a nod of his head. "Make yerself comfortable, I'll be addressing everyone together in 'bout 'n hour or so - give everyone a chance to arrive."

He leaned back again in his seat, glancing over at the door as another pony made his way into the inn. However, this pony wasn't strictly a pony at all, he was more of a bat-pony. Most likely one of Princess Luna's guards. He didn't look official, having no armour and no visible insignia, but it wasn't too far-fetched to imagine her majesty's guards to be let off duty every now and again, so ultimately he thought nothing of it.

Soon after, another stallion made his way into the inn, but the way he looked around briefly before ordering wine from the bar immediately threw Gallant off, most likely just another traveller come to forget his woes...

(OOC: Sorry I'm late to the party...).

@, @@00Pony,

There was something about sleeping outside. Others in the same position as The Captain may have found it frightening, but for whatever reason she found it wonderfully refreshing not having a roof above her head; the uncertainty it brought was exciting. She unwrapped herself from the crossbow she had fallen asleep curled up with the night before and stretched out, very much like a cat, opening her beak in a wide yawn. Blinking sleepily, it dawned on the adolescent griffon that she had slept through almost the entire day - her tail flicked in slight annoyance at the wasted hours.

The Captain glanced at her crossbow with a quizzical frown. "Did I forget something important?"

The crossbow didn't answer of course - crossbows can't talk, they just shoot stuff - but as The Captain pulled her cap out from a large pouch strapped to her side - essentially the griffon equivalent of a saddle bag - one talon ended up stabbing through a sheet of paper. Curious, she pulled it out; it was a flier The Captain couldn't remember picking up, and though it had a large talon-sized hole in it the griffon felt she got the gist of what it was saying. She sat up on the cloud, tail flicking much more actively now in excitement.

"Sounds like fun." she said after a while, eyes lighting up somewhat maniacally as, strapping her crossbow on her back and setting her cap on her head, she launched herself off the cloud. Somewhere in the back of her mind as she flew over the Canterlot streets was the notion that this expedition would be a good way to keep moving; never staying in the same place long enough to be found by -

"Boooring!" the Captain declared in a singsong voice that was perhaps louder than necessary, shoving the thought firmly out of her mind before it could be completed.

Alighting in the street just outside of the Mane and Tale, the griffon strolled inside the inn confidently, positively swaggering until it occurred to her that she had no clue who she was looking for.

All ponies look the same...Well, except those two over there - they look interesting; 'specially the snake one.

"'Scuse me?" The Captain approached the Thestral and Naga with the same swaggering bravado, holding up the flier for them to see. "Any idea where the meeting for this little get-together is?"

Uh...I have no idea what to put here.

@,@Ano170,

Aquila slowly lowered his hoof when the Naga, Violet as she said her name was, ignored it, and continued talking, stating it was brave of him, a bat pony, to approach a snake pony, given the tendencies of snakes to eat bats in the wild. Aquila had read about this, but it didn't really out him off. Violet commended him on having the common sense to know not all Naga would have eaten one of his kind, "My race gets enough flack from our appearance, I try not to judge others on theirs."

Violet grinned, revealing her own fangs. Aquila figured they were more deadly than his own, given they often carried venom in a Naga's case. He shook his head in answer to her question, "Luna's guard? No. My parents were. I'm somewhat more of an academic, than a guard."

He twitched his wings, nudging the hilt of his sword, "Didn't keep me from learning how they fight, however."

This time, he nodded in response to the second half of her question, "The stating to meet here around this time? Yes, that is why I am here."

It wasn't much longer after Aquila had finished speaking when another being came up. This one didn't resemble a pony in the slightest. Why would she, being a griffon? The closest thing to a pony feature she had was her size. Aquila figured she must be a younger griffon. She carried herself with an air of confidence. While it was amusing, Aquila wasn't quick enough to stop his thoughts from drifting to her seeming arrogance getting her into a bad situation. He managed to respond in a normal manner, however, "As I was just discussing shortly before you arrived, miss, I believe we were meant to meet here for the expedition. However, I haven't seen the one who seemed to want us to gather here."

He smiled slighty, "Though I can see they will be getting a rather unique crew behind them."

I'm the kind of mare who focuses on the task over the amount of bits I'm pa-" She was cut off as another...being...approached.

She looked the griffon over and smiled before sipping her water. "Next we'll see a zebra..." She mumbled, looking at Aquila before looking back at the griffon. "This is the place to meet, yes." She said, stretching her forelegs and yawning before finishing her water and placing it back down on the counter, looking at The Captain a moment later. "So, young miss...what's your name?" She asked, looking the griffon over, turning her seat around so her back was to the bar.
She really did find it odd how many...non pony species there were. Violet had expected to be the only one but was pleased to see that there were other's...so she wouldn't be the only one in the group to be gawked at wherever they went.

Blitz nodded when Gallant mentioned that he would wait for about an hour before addressing everyone in the group. He leaned back to his seat to make himself more comfortable. An hour of waiting should be more than enough for everyone to prepare themselves.

With the snakepony's presence, it was clear that Gallant wasn't planning to narrow his option only to equines, but Blitz was more than surprised when a griffon actually walked in and asked to the snakepony - who now had earned herself a batpony in her company - where would the expedition meeting start. Blitz narrowed his eyes, an edge of his lips twisted into a wicked smile. He leaned closer to Gallant and whispered, "Would you accept that avian into the group?"

Sighing heavily, Gallant looked back at the unicorn in front of him, stifling a scowl at his horn. "Potentially." He replied "I've a feeling we'll be needing any an' all the help w' can get. It'd be useful if the bat-pony and the naga are here fer the journey, I can see 'em being useful in their own way. Y'know the griffon? If I didn't know any better..." he paused, stopping himself before he finished his sentence as he shot his eyes back across to the bar, attempting to listen in on the patrons' conversation. From the bits and pieces he could hear, it was only that they where exchanging formalities, that'd make things much smoother. "Almost forgot t' ask, what's yer name?"

Catching the barhands (hoofs?) attention, Gallant gave him a nod, to which he tapped a bell twice with his hoof, causing a loud ringing to sound throughout the inn.

"Anyone not here for Gallant's crazy suicide march, file out - y'all got five minutes!"

A rabble of ponies around the back of the inn and around the outer walls began grumbling and starting to shuffle their way out of the inn and into the street, some taking to a door in the back of the inn - presumably to their rooms for the night.

The Captain chuckled at the bat pony's comment, sitting back on her haunches in front of the Thestral and Naga, tail flicking contentedly. "Yes, I think they will be."

Turning to the snake pony, she flashed her most charming smile, tipping her hat and giving a slight bow that was directed at both pony-like creatures. "The Captain, at your service." She straightened again, setting the cap back on her head. "And who might  I have the pleasure of embarking on this expedition with?"

The Captain jumped slightly at the bartender's sudden ringing voice. With a slight, embarrassed chuckle, she watched as the majority of the bar's patrons left until only herself, the Naga and Thestral and three stallions - two at a table and the other drinking on his own - were left.

"I guess that's one question answered," The Captain commented, nodding towards the two stallions seated at the table. "Shall we?" she asked before making her way over to the table without even waiting for an answer.

Spellbound had just finished his work and was on a short two days brake from the library. Spellbound exited the library, putting on his dark blue oversized with a single yellow star on the brim. The hat was his version of his foal-hood hero, Starswell the bearded. The night was young and Spellbound decided to go for a bit of a trot, thing he needed the excersise.

"Oh the night, it really is quite beautiful" Spellbound thought out loud

The ponies around Spellbound gave it a strange look, not just because of his hat but because he is talking to himself. However, thanks to Spellbounds hat he isn't able to see the other ponies judging stares.

During Spellbounds trots, be came a cross a flyer that was on the ground. By the looks of it, it fell off a wall. Spellbound examined the flyer and was inturiged by its contents. After memorising the contents of the flyer, Spellbound picked up the flyer with his magic and stored it in his hat. Soon after, he made it way to the inn.

Opening the doors of the inn, Spellbound entered the building. He purples out the flyer with his magic and looked at it, then looked around the inn. Soon after he spots the pony that is responsible for the flyer. Keeping his hat down, the shy magican made his way to pony in the comer of the room.

"This..." Spellbound said, releasing the magical grasp and dropping the flyer infront of the pony.

"This..." Spellbound repeated.

Spellbound didnt talk to many ponies, so he wasn't able to make a very coherent sentance, let along creating a sentence to begin with.

"This... Do you need help with, this?" Spellbound said, mustering up his focus to speak.

Aquila had been about to give The Captain an answer and introduce himself, when the bartender called out for those who weren't here for the expedition to clear out. It left only him, Violet, The Captain and a few other stallions, as well as a mare, who had entered the tavern shortly after the rest cleared out.

Aquila stood, nodding to Violet, assuming that she would follow over with them if she were here for the same reasons, and followed The Captain over to the two stallions in the corner. He found the Griffon's name... perplexing. He assumed Captain was more likely her name, but even then, it was peculiar. Can't really call somebody 'Miss Captain', given that it was usually a rank. Was that her real name? Aquila mentally shrugged. It wouldn't be polite to inquire so soon after meeting her.

Nonetheless, he trotted over until he was walking alongside her, answering her earlier question about his and Violet's names, "My name is Aquila. Pleasure meeting you... Captain."

Ultimately, he decided to leave out the 'Miss'. It just didn't sound right being there. Ah, but it cannot be helped.

"You're welcome. It was a pretty small order...especially compared to the ones that you normally make for the hospital. I take it this one here is for personal use?"

"Yes it is, you've seen all those flyers around the city right? Well I'm hoping to join them. And speaking of that I really need to get going. The sun should be setting soon. Thanks agin. I'll see you around." Silver Heart said as she walked out of the door.

Silver Heart looked towards the setting sun. It didn't seem like she woukd have enough time to go home and change out of her nurses uniform before heading to the Mane and Tale Inn.

After a short trek down various backstreets Silver Heart emerged in front of the Mane and Tale Inn. Not wanting to be late she quickly walked in and sat at the first empty table she saw.

@@Agent505,

Violet was also about to answer The Captains question but was sadly interrupted by the bartender.
She frowned as The Captain walked off to the table in the corner, soon followed by, Aquila.
Violet reached into her bag and placed a few bits on the table for her drink before getting up and slithering over to the table, standing higher than all of the other ponies there, but managing to stay off to the side where she could be less notice and observe the other's around her.
She placed her bag leaning against the wall and waited in silence, eyeing the colt she assumed was Gallant...the leader of the expedition.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't rushing you guys :P Just letting you know I do actually intend to get going, just don't want to leave anypony behind

@,

Gallant was readying himself to address the group after the rest of the inn's inhabitant's had left, when suddenly a light blue mare with a rather large hat approached him and telekinetically dropped a leaflet in front of him. Gallant felt his gut knot at the thought, his muzzle crinkled up ever so slightly before spoke, raising an eyebrow as he did so. "Wouldn't be askin' if I didn't, but uh...you...sure you'll be...never mind." He shook his head, better a unicorn than an empty seat after all, and best not to antagonise the creatures any more than necessary. Something was definitely off about this one though, he just couldn't place his hoof on what that was - the fact that the hat cast a shadow of the eyes didn't help, he liked to look his partner's in the eye when he spoke to them, not being able to see them unnerved him slightly.

He shifted in his seat, sitting upright once more in a formal manner, looking across the remaining group of ponies...and...other.

He nodded slowly as he confirmed the others' presence to himself quietly. "Unicorns, A naga, a thestral...even a griffon. At least we got ourselves one earth pony, no pegasi though? Good enough I guess."

'And now another damned unicorn?!' He thought to himself upon seeing a mare in medical gear entering the inn.

@@Starshine,

Finally turning his attention back to the stallion at the table, Gallant chuckled himself. "We go back a ways, yeah. He's always been a good help but I don't 'bout reckon just how much trust to place in him. I don't normally take others out for walks though either..." again he stopped himself, this time before he began rambling about his past adventures. He was an ageing traveller after all...

Name tags, nothing special

@@Ano170,@@00Pony, @@Alex Kennedy, @@SilverHeart, @, @@aRegularPony,

I told you; nothing special, what did you expect?

"Alright!" Gallant's rough voice echoed around the inn as he stood up from his chair, one hoof leaning on the table. 'We practiced this...formalities...' he quickly reminded himself to attempt to cut his slang for a while. "Everypony listen up because i'd appreciate not having to repeat myself here, so i'll keep it brief. This is going to be dangerous, to the point where there's a chance you might not make it back. We're all here for a reason - be it for the thrill of an adventure, or the prosperous rewards of fame, or simply the cold hard coin." He raised an eyebrow again, glancing at the two ponies - or rather the naga and the griffon - with the more obvious on-display weaponry. "Either way, we all have two goals. To retrieve an important artifact for an...important client, and to stay alive. Anypony who's having second thoughts about this should leave now." He paused momentarily -almost sarcastically- to give others a chance to leave if they wanted to before he carried on speaking. "I'll assume you all know who I am, but for those of you who showed up by accident, my names is Gallant Pursuit, retired mercenary and now a hunter of priceless relics and antiques. It's a good line of work, seriously they're worth a lot if you find the right buyers." He waited again, making a brief eye-contact with everypony in the room one by one before finally sitting back in his chair and speaking in a normal - quiet voice "Any quick questions? I know I left a lot unanswered but we need to get underway. It's a long ride till morning."

Violet listened quietly to the colt and grinned at him as he mentioned money...like earlier that was her just trying to freak him out, maybe give him doubtful thoughts of her...just what she loved to do.
When Gallant finished speaking, she raised her hoof. "Not that I'm in it only for the money...but...how much will we be payed? I also feel like we should introduce ourselves to one another...I'm Violet Strike, don't get in my way and we'll get along great...and that doesn't mean I don't want to work as a team." She said, lowering her hoof before smiling and looking around at the rest of the group.

Gallant had seen many types of all different kinds of species in his countless travels - he wasn't the type to be easily intimidated. He was always cautious, and perhaps the naga's glaring, venom-filled fangs would be a reason to be a little more cautious of her, but there was nothing her feared more than unicorns - and he was surrounded by those. "If you survive this, all i'll say about payment is that you won't be disappointed. We're working for - as I mentioned earlier - a very special client." He gave a quick shake of his head when he heard the naga's proposal of introductions. "Save the formalities for later, we need to get things wrapped up and underway - there's a couple of carriages round the back, we can introduce ourselves when we're on the move."

Violet shrugged. "Suit yourself." She said, leaning against the wall.

She was debating whether to ask who this "Special Client" is but decided just to remain quiet...it'd most likely come up later anyway.
When Gallant mentioned carriages she became suddenly...unamused. She had always hated carriages for...a couple reasons. They were always uncomfortable for her considering her size, and she was usually forced to be close to other ponies...which she rarely enjoyed.
She sighed and reached down to pick up her bag, putting it around her back and over her shoulders before tightening the straps.

Blitz Blaze nodded along Gallant's explanation. He had been expecting the pegasus to not wanting to explain much of the mission. He had a general gist of what was the mission is all about, but he would rather not share what he know until Gallant himself do so. He snickered when Violet asked about the payment. When Gallant told the group to prepare themselves, Blitz quickly stood up. "I don't have any question. I'm here to serve Equestria's best interest, nothing more," he stated and dusted himself. "You all can call me Blitz Blaze. I hope we can work together until the mission is over." He then made his way around to the carriages.

Without a word, Lost Knowledge drained the rest of his glass and got up, grabbing his pack and preparing to head out to the carriages. He didn't really know just what the deal with this mission was, but it certainly seemed like something worthy of his attention. The odds of encountering something of academic interest were pretty high, and he would gladly use his talents to serve Equestria.
