(OoC: Not sure if you know, but Leaves is female. ^__^)

"Sir, if you don't mind my impertinence, but I was a criminal lawyer before I joined up with the Navy," said Leaves a bit coolly. "I believe, as a result, that I am quite capable of handling myself, sir. I'm just a bit off tonight, and rather tired, but sleep still evades me." She dipped her head respectfully. "In fact, as you ought to know, sir, I don't sleep much at all..." She looked nervously at the other with him and then quietly whispered to the captain so Jaeger could not hear, "it's my PTSD."

OOC: I striked out my post, we'll keep yours.

"A criminal lawyer and a Naval Officer are very different jobs. Nonetheless, that was confidence. Good. Do not become arrogant or over confident, though. That will only get you killed. Command is like walking a tight rope with cannon balls tight to your arms and legs." Swift said.

@Norman, @PDS.avi

Jaegers comment was cut off by the lieutenants awnser to Swifts question. She whispered something after, but Swifts awnser was loud and clear. He shied back trying to stay out of the conversation. He was afraid that it was going to get more heated than it needed to be. "I've never seem the Captain like this, or in person at least." he thought.

A flash of queasiness came about him. Swift pulled a flask out of his jacket and took a quick gulp.

'Mi.. Midshi.. Jaeger... The wind is in our favor... Assemble your rigging monkeys... And... Drop all of our sails.." Swift said, weakly.

Swift felt his lungs cramp up.

"If... you'll excuse me" Swift said with all the dignity he could muster.

Swift attempted to reach the door to his cabin, but fell on the deck. His vision quickly faded. And then it was dark.

Jaeger nodded and saluted slowly. "A-Aye Captain Swift, I'll jump right on that sir." he said slowly as he began to walk across the deck to wake up his crew. Before he could get to the door he heard a loud plunk. He turned to see the Captian lying on the deck. He ran over "Captain.....Captain Swift!" he said shaking the Captains body. "Doctor, Doctor!" he yelled

Caly was awoken from her slumber to yelling, and saw the Captain laid out, unconscious. She couldn't do so much as watch. She went to fetch the ships medic

@

"Lume! You're needed on the deck! NOW!" Caly yelled at Lume, not bothering to explain herself. She ran back out to the deck and watched over the captain.

Lume had been resting for quite a while in her own bed, unable to get some shut eye. She was thoughtful about the crew and the whole marine work she'd been involved into. Though it wasn't exactly what she wanted to do with her life, she could still use some adventure like that - not to mention, she was also slowly overcoming her seasickness as well.

The mare was already half-asleep, until several shouts from the deck made her jolt out of the bed.

MEDIC GET YOUR LAZY TAIL OVER HERE NOW AND HELP THE CAPTAIN OR YOU CAN KISS YOUR JOB HERE GOOD BYE PRONTO!!

"Lume! You're needed on the deck! NOW!"

"Fine, fine, I'm on my way!!" Rubbing her annoyed-looking face, she grabbed the first-aid kit on the shelf and ran, as fast as her lazy body could, out of the room and into the ship deck. Upon arriving, she saw Captain Swift Sail lying on the floor.

"You don't have to shout like that, you know." She muttered as she kneeled next to the Captain, already assuming it was nothing too serious. "...He's out. But he still has pulse." She briefly inspected him and then turned, rather angrily, to the others crowding around.

"What did you numbskulls do this time??"

@,

Caly glared at Lume.

"He just collapsed. Don't go blamin' us 'til you get the facts, missy." Caly said, but she still was relieved the captain was okay. How was she to get her revenge with a dead captain? Caly wasn't normally hostile, but when it came to crew she was fiercely protective.

Jaeger looked up from the Captains limp body. "Ahh Lume, good to see you, finally." he muttered standing up. "He seemed out of it right before he collapsed. What say you?" he asked stepping away giving a clear view of Swifts unconscious body. "Well?" he asked frantically

"He just collapsed. Don't go blamin' us 'til you get the facts, missy."

Lume sighed. "He just collapsed, aye? Yeah, this will surely help me a lot." She said sarcastically before turning back to the fallen Captain. She continued to check his pulse, pupils, body temperature and whatnot, in search of anything that would reveal what caused him to faint. But she found nothing. The mare got back up on her hooves, finally showing some traces of worry in her expression.

"Calypso, go get him a bowl of fresh water. The others, help me carry him inside. I'll see what I can do with what I have in hooves." She proceeded to pick up the first-aid kit with her mouth and patiently awaited for her partners to act.

@,

Caly nodded and did as requested, and brought the bowl of water to Lume. Caly was normally nice and pleasant, but this mare just pushed her buttons wrong. She held the water out to Lume.

I wonder if it's because my mother was a whore. That tends to get ponies jimmies in a twist.

Jaeger nodded "Alright." he said as he picked up Swift and slung him gently onto his back. He walked into the Captains quarters and layed him on the bed, and turned back to Lume. "So now what? We wait for him to wake up or something of sorts." he asked

Gladius heard all the commotion and came over to investigate. He couldn't help but worry when he saw the captain passed out on the deck.

@,

He pulled one of the ponies crowding around the captain aside. "What happened? I leave to train for a bit and suddenly I come back to find the captain passed out in the middle of the deck."

@@Alex Kennedy,

Caly remained calm and serious.

"No one knows, one moment the captains walking and then he starts to gets this strange expression, then he collapses." Caly said, no letting her demeanor slip.

Even I don't know what happened. What in the hay is going on with Swift?

Lume pulled a stool and sat down beside the bed where Captain Swift was put. Her tedious, tired expression remained, though now she looked considerably more serious about the situation than before. She noticed the requested bowl of water being held by Calypso, and picked it up seconds before the pirate mare was abruptly pulled away from the scene by another curious crew member. The medic earth mare just rolled her eyes and carefully placed the bowl down on the bed.

"So now what? We wait for him to wake up or something of sorts."

"I don't know how long will it take for him to wake up, since I don't know what kind of disease we're dealing with here... You guys telling me that "he collapsed out of nowhere", it doesn't make my job any easier." Lume harshly responded to Jaeger, not taking her eyes off of the Captain. She picked up a piece of cloth from inside the first-aid kit, soaked it in the bowl of water and gently placed it on Captain Swift's forehead, hoping to get some reaction out of him.

"Hmm... hmmm.. Larboard... damn you..." Swift muttered.

Swift eyes began to flutter open. Immediately he coughed and gasped for breath. He clutched his stomach. The captain continued to cough and sputter, and eventually air was breathing through his lungs again. He clutched his chest. It felt like the sword was slicing into him all over again.

Jaeger turned when he heads Swift's voice, it was faint and weak, but still audible. He turned "Celestia Swift! You scared me near death!" What's wrong with yah?" he asked in a frantic type tone, stepping towards the bed a bit to get a closer look at Swift

Swift's eyelids began to sink again.

"My... chest... I was *cough*... sword... Galloprey's Bay *cough".

Swift's lungs cramped up again. He felt the slicing pain in his chest again, and now it had moved on to his leg and his arms. The pain reminded him of the day it all happened. He could still hear the cannons, and the groans of the dying Admiral Topsail.

Swift drifted into black darkness again.

corporal cell stood near swift as he passed out again "For the love of the kingdom, the captains knocked out again" cell went to get a bucket of sea water he carried with his mouth and splashed the sea water all over swift's face. "wake up sir the ship needs orders!"

Lume kept attentively observing Swift, trying to figure out what to do with the situation. However, luckily, he soon regained consciousness, muttering something undecipherable. The mare just grew a small smile, which was rapidly ruined by the wave of curious ponies who immediately stuck their muzzles to check over the Captain.

Before she could say anything, Swift passed out again. This is not good... She though with a sigh, though most of all she was relieved knowing that he would come around again, and it all was just some kind of memory rush; a nightmare of some sort.

She noticed one of the crew members rushing out of the room, and returning with his mouth full of water.

he carried with his mouth and splashed the sea water all over swift's face. "wake up sir the ship needs orders!"

Lume immediately jumped from her seat and grappled the crazy pony's neck, trying to pull him away from the scene.

"DAMN IT CELL, WHAT THE HAY ARE YOU THINKING!? DO YOU WANT TO BUCKING DROWN OUR CAPTAIN!?"

Jaeger took a step back when he mentioned Galloprey's Bay. "No adventures huh?" he scoffed

"It's an old sword wound inst it?" he asked right at the time Swift passed out again. "Do we have anything to dull his pain?" he asked Lume in a straight forward tone of voice.

"Is he going to be alright, miss... I'm sorry, I seem to have forgotten your name," Connor said to Lume, "I'm first lieutenant Connor Swift. Charmed to meet you, I wish it could have been on better circumstances," he continued, looking at the captain with vexation. "Captain, if you can hear me, should I give orders until you are no longer bedridden?"

Lume let go of Cell and took a few breaths in an attempt to calm herself down. She coldly glanced at the purple Lieutenant colt for a second and then made her way back nearby the bed, sitting on the stool once again.

"Lume Greenpark. Nice to meet ya, I guess." She said to him. "And I don't think he can hear you, mate. The Captain's passed out again. It doesn't seem to be anything serious though. He's just having what we call a memory rush... Not very pleasant memories, it seems."

"Do we have anything to dull his pain?" he asked Lume in a straight forward tone of voice.

The mare thought for a few seconds before reaching her first-aid kit and searching inside it. "He seems to be having difficult breathing. Nothing that a Dragon Breath's herb can't help with." She pulled out an odd looking blood-red branch from inside the kit, ripped out a small piece of it and put it inside Captain Swift's mouth. "It will open up his lungs and let more air flow through them for a few seconds." Lume looked behind her at the crew members, unable to hide the somewhat evil grin that now decorated her feature.

"You better step back, though... It has side effects." She giggled."You know how dragons breathe fire, right?"
