Octavia Digital Drawing

So this is my "Octavia Sketch" turned into digital art. Now I know it IS a tad bit messy but it's actually my first digital pony! ^-^  THIS TOOK 3 DAYS WHY ON EARTH DID IT I DON'T KNOW SO DON'T ASK. (Lol)

 

I was obsessing over the shading because that's something I've been trying to perfect for ages...!!

 

If you'd like to critique me, I'm down with that! I LOVE YOUR OPINIONS!

It is a tad messy, but for first digital try, you got the basics down!

 

The shading is almost there, just needs a bit more improvement.

 

Other than that, excellent first sketch!

I have an obsession with Vinyl and Octavia for some reason. D:

This must be the result of a mouse. Yes, yes, that is the main perpetrator of the shaky lines right? RIGHT?

 

Another word of advice, I would try to make your shades darker. I seriously couldn't tell there was any shading because it was very light.

Hmmmm... What software do you use? The drawing seems too shaky to be done on programs like GIMP, which I seen people's vectors dove ob that, pretty amazing. Anyways you got the basics down, now you need to work on the lines, and probably get a bigger program for future drawings, never use the mouse, that is a never. Nice job, hope to see more.

I can't download anything to my grandmas computer because of its age. But I rushed a little bit at the end.

I didn't use a mouse xD lol. But I was using deviantart muro because I can't download things onto my grandmas computer anymore. :c

Quick question about how you made this:

 

Did you draw the overall body by just copying or using an Octavia picture as reference or did you actually draw out the anatomy by memory using basic circles and stuff (Like a framework) before adding the details and color that make it look like Octavia?
