a shadowy figure of a pony sat beside six and put his arm around him

 

"aww, is somepony sad? not having any fun are we?" it said

Rain turned to him. What the h*** do you think you're doing? she sharply thought. Let me go!

"Tell me then why is he talking to six out there then?" he then released her.

Six darted out of the pony's grip, glaring at him with his two colored eyes...

Boots quitly sulks away. and hoovers over to Rain and nudges her in the leg

 

"Hey lass, we um have some kind of umm situation If you would be so kind as to look over at Six."

the shadow figure was startled, then said "oh, im sorry i scared you" it then mimicked strongs voice "ahm not here to hurt you" it then copied strongs appearance, though it was a darker shade "ah just want to talk 'bout yer problems"

Rain glared at Shadow one final time before looking over.

"Omigosh!" she cried, and dashed over. "SIX STRINGS! OVER HERE!" she called, her voice filled with concern. "WHATEVER YOU DO, DO. NOT. LISTEN. TO. HIM!"

She flew over, slamming against the darker pony. "Run, Six, I'll fly over!" she said to him.

Six only intensified his glare at the copy of himself, "Aint got no problems" he said with a threatneing tone, a tone he rarely used...

it then looked back at six "now we both know that aint true, why else would cha walk over here by yer self?"

Shadow walked out of the tent "well if it isent one of his old tricks....copying others appearences" he said with a smile "this will be fun"

Six backed away slowly from the figure, his glare unwavering as he did so...

Rain pushed the other Six. "What are you doing? Leave! Get somepony over here to help me!"

She looked at him with sharp blue eyes. "NOW!"

"huh i could help" he said "seems were in another problem i might have to solve" he said with a smile

the figure walked closer "just relax now, ah dont wanta hurt you, i can tell yer botherd by them fightin all the time"

"I don't need YOUR help!" she snapped, and she flew up above the fake Six, avoiding his gaze.

Damn does this Shadow ever just say 'okay'? Ever? thought Six as he kept backing away, And yes, Ahm talkin to you! Seein as you dont respect privacy anyway...

"I was born sixteen years ago, in a hut in some third-world zebra country. My father was a chief in the village where I was born, my mother was a scientist doing field research. I caught a disease when I was less than a year old, it paralyzed me for months. My mother had to take me to cloudsdale to see a real doctor who could heal me. My father couldn't come with us, as he had a tribe of zebras depending on his leadership. My mother was devastated, but she knew I would die without help. I never saw him again. He was a nomad, so I guess I'll never find him. But anyways, my mother and I finally made it back to cloudsdale and the doctor managed to undo the paralysis, but my wings would never be strong enough to support me in flight. It was rough at first, but my mom was always there to help me when I needed her. She was patient and kind and so generous..." Ten choked on that last word, but quickly composed himself and continued, "when I was five years old, we found out that she had the disease as well, and that it was a strain that noponyhad ever seen before. I was always there for her, every day for almost a year, until one day... She told me to come close, she could barely talk. She told me that she loved me and that she didn't want to leave me behind, but she couldn't hold on any longer. She died in my arms as I told her that I forgive her, and that I loved her." he cried softly. "I was soon sent to an orphanage, where I was constantly picked on by the colts and mares for my inability to fly and scrawny build. I would have probably given up if not for one kind mare. She wasn't a very good flier, and got picked on too, so we were two outcasts who took solace in each other. Then one day, as if I hadnt had enough taken from me, she fell from the clouds during a race and I had to watch as she fell and nopony did anything to save her. I ran away that night and never looked back. I roam across equestria now, never really staying in one place for too long. Its a lifestyle that suits me; I'm going to walk until i die. Sometimes, though, I long for a purpose, a reason to live. I've got no drive, no friends and no family... Sorry if I bored you. It's just nice to finally get it all out". He blinked a few tears away as he tilted his head over to Riza.

*Riza cried after hearing Ten's story. She embraced him in a hug.*

Rain swooped and tried to pull back Six by yanking his hind legs. He was too heavy for her, however, so moved around to his front, blocking him from his twin version.

"Do you ever LISTEN?" she said, exasperated. "MOVE! FASTER!"

Ten's gaze shot over to the source of the shouting. He grabbed one of his bombs and threw it at discord/dark six. That action alone exhausted him and his head fell back to rest next to Riza's

The bomb rolled under discord and exploded, leaking a dark blue cloud of anti magical gas.

Rain froze. "How...dare...you." she hissed, but she didn't turn around.

Then gas exploded around her and she coughed slightly, remembering the bombs that Ten had made earlier.

"Thanks, Ten!" she called, relieved to have someone so diligent on her back.
