An Earth Pony Transforming into a Unicorn?

Ok everypony, this may sound extremely absurd and I don't blame any one of you. Unless it's actually animation error most likely but unless I'm missing something. Is it possible for an Earth pony to become a Unicorn?

 

And yes, this topic is show related and that's why I'm posting it here.

I wouldn't think so...

I mean, it is possible but it's not really that likely. Why would an earth pony be turned into a unicorn anyway? Unless there's some reason for them to be turned into one, I don't think it would happen.

There will always be animation errors. 

 

Animators don't care about some minor errors with the background ponies. Lyra could suddenly be a pegasus or Bon Bon a pegasus. 

 

Unless it's a recurrent character, then I'd say it's a major animation mistake.

 

Now, if you're talking about the show's canon. Why not?

 

Twilight grew wings, but only because of all that princess and destiny crap. I'd say it's possible, but it would very extremely special cases.

I don't think an Earth Pony could defy the laws of physics and transform into something from another race. Of course, you might see this in an animation error, because My Little Pony is full of them.

 

 

Unless yiou're Pinkie Pie. Then you'd probably be able to turn into a unicorn.

Ok. The one pony that gets this kind of non canon makeover but actually in the show (Or movie) is called Golden Grape. Maybe the movie should be considered canon...or not? Yup, it's definitely an animation error....but...again....unless we're missing something.

It's usually. minor animation errors whenever you see that happen in the background. Like Marth said.; the m they don't really care about that sort of thing, especially since they like to reuse background ponies to add more of a, crowding feel to it.

 

So don't be surprised when you see an Apple Family Member in the clouds or levitating something In the background.

That would probably most likely won't happen. Besides, as far as I know the show has a major amount of animation errors so its really best we don't care about it that much.

Unless it becomes an alicorn, I really doubt this will happen. Most of them are animation errors anyway.

But well, I hope all the characters reamin the same, we don't want Pinkie Pie to do magic ofc.

As a story element, I could care less. Twilight's alicorn shift didn't bother me. From a scientific standpoint, I have done much study... By my calculations, it couldn't happen. Unicorns stay unicorns, and based on the cell structure, an earth pony just cannot be mutated. Unicorn-alicorn is totally possible. Pegasus-alicorn... Nope.

Its the land so rich and dense with magic you could almost reach out an pull it out of the air. 

We don't truly have a wheedling and dealing bad guy on the show yet, who has evil magic to make deals with unsuspecting dopes.

Be it a demon or Djinn.

 

Do you think the land of equista has wishes?  Dark pacts?

Magic that can bend the natural order?

 

I think it could be done.

Actually from what I heard Earth ponies plays an important part in their role in My little pony friendship is magic. I heard only the earth ponies can grow vegetables. I don't know why Unicorn and pegasus can't.

@FNGRpony- According to "Hearth's Warming Eve," the pegasi handle the weather, the unicorns handle the sun and moon (at least when Celestia, Luna, and Discord are out clubbing), and the Earth ponies handle the planet; it's like Pony!RockPaperScissors, actually.

 

Still, it'd be easy for an Earth pony character to envy unicorns and/or pegasi, which would make for a good episode on how EVERYPONY'S special, albeit in different ways (*insert diabetes here*).

Well, he/she could always just ask Twilight (can give wings and cloud-walking (maybe horns too?)), Celestia (can give ALICORN-hood), or even Discord (...No explanation needed.).
