Your Favorite Season Opening?

Pretty simple, which opening did you like more? (The first 2 episodes of each season).

It's pretty tough for me to pick, season 2 had a nice start but season 1 is classic

Note: not the opening theme, the opening episodes (ie Return of Harmony)

Although i really didnt like the discord episodes... imma go with Season 2 Episode 1 where discord was breaking out of his stone state...

The Discord episodes were pure class. As much as I loved the S1 opening episodes, Discord wins the day easily.

I'm a bit undecided. Both were very well done, but while season 2 pulled out all the stops for a downright epic intro, season 1's less ambitious intro has a certain charm to it. It seems a bit less rambunctious, as it was made before MLP: FiM exploded on the Internet.

I personally liked The Return of Harmony more than the season 1 openers. Season 1's intro episodes felt so...meh. So cliche and, frankly, kind of boring. They were entertaining but...meh. Return of Harmony was simply epic, and it was really interesting to see each character' "flipside."

I liked the Return of Harmony just because of Discord. His laugh is amazing and he's just hilarious in general.

I liked the season 1 opener. It set the tone for an awesome season 1 and an even more amazing season 2.

Nightmare Moon's voice was the only thing that ruined it for me. It just sounded so... I don't know... Cheesy.

I'm going with season 2. Discord was just a better villian and I felt that this episode tested their friendship then creat it.

I like the Discord one more, he's more interesting that NM. And I know you don't mean the themes, but I want to add that I think the season 2 theme is the best. I love how they put more details into the music. I can't wait to see and hear season 3's theme!

Haha yea, but the episode overall was very good. The part where Twilight is explaining how she and her friends represent the elements was giving me chills to the bone. And the old look of Luna is just so cute

Amen to that last bit. I also think the first usage of the Elements was definitely the most epic of all the uses.

Hmm, this is a tough one... I really like the Season 1 opening, as it introduces us to the mane 6 very well, and Nightmare Moon is just awesome. But, I like Season 2's opening just a bit more, because Discord is simply awesome as a villain. I also feel that more suspense was built, what with the mane 6 becoming the opposite of their elements and fighting with each other. It really gave a good sense of "will they/won't they", whereas in the Season 1 opening, the ending was pretty predictable.
