Haters Wanting to Execute Bronies: Your Reaction?

My friend who is non-brony watched this and told me:

" I have a new idea for my persuasive speech in my AP class, It is to persuade the government for funding the executions of all bronies."

I would barely smack or reap his soul at that moment then but i have my limits so i dare not to do so.

     In all seriousness though, don't let it get to you. Lots of people make threats like that everyday, but never follow through with them. If he does follow through with the speech, someone will probably remind him that a certain German guy with a Chaplin made a speech quite similar to his, only it concerned those who were of the Jewish faith.

 

     I think that he might know that you're a Brony, and maybe he's just trying to poke you, or get you to snap. You did a very wise thing by not taking the bait. I applaud you for restraining yourself. Here is a medal:

The school system in southern california is great but it seems this state filled with most aggressive Christians.

My advice to you is to keep on doing what you're doing: love and tolerate, and avoid the conflict with laughter. If they find out that you're a Brony, then be the best representation of the community that you can possibly be. If you're the only Brony amongst the group, then you alone have the ability to change their minds about us.

Well in that case hes just being dumb. One thing to not like MLP, but to make such a wasted effort and dumb effort as to just even suggest such an idea.

My advice to you is to keep on doing what you're doing: love and tolerate, and avoid the conflict with laughter. I will probably try as much as possible, first using the strategy of recognition in which i will make them to have some interests in the show. But it would be damn hard! Those guys in my school are seeming to be aggressive Lutherans or Christians; Huntington Beach filled with most of European immigrants as i estimated and i don't think they would like MLP.

I once also asked my friend about MLP. He said that he and his brother hated the show and ignore it but the friend of his brother is a hardcore brony.

Wait... so this guy is in an AP class...  I'm reading that correctly right?  AP still stands for Advanced Placement like it does here in the east?  No offense meant towards your friend (okay, maybe that's not entirely truthful) but that is one of the most ungodly idiotic and childish topics I could imagine.  Even just ignoring the fact that it targets bronies, he's trying to make a persuasive speech on why it's okay to commit genocide (note that this is a country where it can take a decade to execute a person who raped and murdered an entire family).  I suppose if the point of the speech was to argue for a completely unrealistic idea it makes more sense, but still.  This is an ADVANCED PLACEMENT class; theoretically it should have the most mature students (though I know from experience that this isn't the case...).  This kid ought to have grown up by now.

 

Anyways, what would I do?  If I had faith in the teacher, I'd do nothing.  Let him get torn apart by the teacher's comments and laugh internally as his GPA tanks because of the failing grade.  I suppose that I might ask why he feels this way, and then try to politely argue my point.

 

Just a note: I personally think that trying to convert him is a terrible idea.  There's a number of people who hate bronies for that reason alone.  It's my own belief that we can say that it's a very well-done show and how we think that it's great, but not that everyone is required to unite beneath our iron hoof.  Those are just my thoughts though; do with them what you will.
