@@Gloomfury

"I wouldn't say that we're very much alike," said Shyla vaguely. "I work in many labourious fields, so I have a strong back. It's nothing special." She followed him carefully. "After all, if I am to be the handy pony on this ship, I'll need to have had some experience using my muscles. Wouldn't be much of a help otherwise, would I?"

She glanced at him and noticed his smirk. "Is life always so funny to you?" she wondered aloud, then covered her mouth, shocked at what she had said. "Oh, that was out of line, I'm sorry..."

Synopsis

The bounty hunters, as it turns out, were hired by some unexpected competition that encourages Razor Sharp to set sail into the Cascade Sea immediately. I want Razor Sharp to mention to Ocean Wind that he has a clue that will point them to the first island they must seek with the first piece of the map. (The map will be, by the way, etched in stone and they must collect a tracing of it.) To get INTO the Cascade Sea, however, they must first pass through a fearsome storm.

@@Gloomfury

When the bounty hunters lay in a heap, Razor Sharp bent down and wondered to himself where these ponies came from. There was nothing apparent that gave him any clue as to where they came from. But as everypony was distracted he stood up and interrupted Gloomfury (provided he hasn't left the scene I hope).

"Gloomfury, I'm afraid I have to give you my first order in only the first few minutes I've known you, but it seems the situation demands it. This port no longer seems safe and I must order the crew to depart immediately! Can they be round up?"

Gloom chuckles. "It's alright. To be honest, I'm not really feeling anything now. This bastard tried to kill our captain and we're helping him. I would have finished him off if I got there first. But you did, and I say that you were worried about him. So I thought we should help him."

@@Stancet, As he was walking and talking with Shyla. He heard Razor called to him. It was a good thing that they only started walking or he wouldn't heard him. He tops and listen to what he said and shouted. "Aye aye sir!"  He looks back to Shyla. "Looks like we both have a choice to make here. Ether I can do that the Captain ordered me to do or go with you. And you can ether help that stallion or leave him to die. But remember, that stallion tried to kill the Captain and some of our crew."

@,

Gloom was pretty surprised when Shyla took the stallion and put him on her own back. But he refocuses wjen she asked him where a medical centre is. 'She must mean hospital.' He thought. "Yeah. It's this way."  He started leading the way to the hospital. "I knew you had some strength on you like Cascade, but it seems like you got a bit more then her. By the way you're carrying that stallion it's like your carrying a bag of feathers." He says as his smirk comes back.

Cascade tagged along, gazing at the stallion draped across Shyla's back. Had she really done that?

"I got a little carried away," she murmured. "I don't hurt if I can help it. The rest of them are fine." Her voice was soft, and it sounded like she was attempting to convince herself of this just as much as the others. "

Moon giggled a bit, but decided to butt in. "I think one had a gun, trying to threaten the captain to give them all of his 'loot' or whatever. But they were up to no good, and I thank Cascade and maybe a few other ponies here for protecting him!" Then she remembered something, but decided to let it slip since Ocean wasn't exactly talking to her.

"Interesting...I wonder why-" She was cut off as the Captain gave his orders.

She nodded in his direction. "I'll talk to you later, Moon." She said, before she walked into the bar to retrieve her stuff from her room.

She put on her saddlebag, large trench coat, and belt, before she stuck her head out the window to retrieve the knives, placing each on in her belt.

She retrieved everything from her room before trotting back down the stairs and out the door, leaning on a nearby lamp post and waiting for the rest to be ready.

@,

Wind Whistle woke up alone. The wind whistled through the trees, making him shiver both with chill and from the eeriness. Gradually, he became aware of his situation. He was crumpled against the wall, his head ached and throbbed, and he could barely feel his hooves. His wings were a crumbled mess. Preening was going to be a pain. When he touched his head, his curly mane was matted with something thick and rather sticky. He pulled it away in disgust.

Slowly, he forced himself to his feet and groaned. Everything hurt and some bruises were beginning to show. Oh well, not much he could do about it. He decided to walk back to the pub for lack of anything better, until he remembered that he had no money to pay to spend the night. Maybe they wouldn't mind if he slept outside. Running away was a lot less fun than it had sounded. Still, he felt no particular feeling of homesickness.

On the way he saw one of the crew members. She was a rather attractive mare, but Whistle was in no mood to flirt any more. He wanted to know what had happened while he had blacked out. "Hi," he walked up to her. "You probably don't remember me, but I'm going on the Dark Fortune." He winced as the wind blew his mane, disturbing the small scab on his scalp. "What happened back there?"

@@Flicker,

Ocean looked the colt over for a minute before reaching into her bag and pulling out a first aid kit, noticing the wound on his head. "To be honest...I have no idea. I awoke in my room and everypony else had it covered. Something about...bounty hunters. Anyway, the captain has ordered us to get to the ship, but not before we get the wound cleaned up. I don't know allot about medicine, but I know enough to not let that get infected. What happened to you?" She asked, pouring some alcohol onto a rag to clean out the wound.

"I tried to help," Wind Whistle said. "Only I was clumsy. I tripped over somepony and then one of the bounty hunters picked me up like I was nothing and threw me against the wall. I was knocked out in an instant." He sighed. "I guess I'm not much good in a fight if I can't stay awake long enough to land a punch. So, we're leaving early?"

Ocean nodded. "Yep. This is gonna hurt." She said, before dabbing the wound on Wind's head with the cloth, wiping up the blood.

After a moment, Ocean placed the rag down on her bag and her horn glowed, a roll of bandages flew up and began wrapping around Wind's head. "I can teach you to fight if you'd like. I'm not the greatest fighter around but I wont say I'm not good at using a knife...in fact, I'm quite good at it." She said, proudly.

@,

Wind Whistle hissed in pain as the alcohol sterilized the wound. It felt kind of like when he had tried ale, but on his head instead of in his gut. Ocean wrapped a bandage around his head and talked to him while she helped. His ears perked up when she offered to teach him to fight. "Really? You'd do that?" he exclaimed. "I'd really appreciate that."

@@Flicker,

"I'd be happy too, sweetie." She said, using some medical tape to keep the bandage tight. "A knife is a very underestimated weapon, but if its used right it can be quite an effective weapon. I use throwing knives, however, I will most likely teach you how to use a hoof held knife since throwing knives take allot of time to master...took me several years to be able to use them as a full weapon. Hoof held knife fighting is easier but can be just as effective. Plus, you're quite small and you have the perfect build for a knife fighter." She said, patting him on the shoulder as she began to put away all of her medical supplies.

@,

Wind Whistle smiled. He could never be sad for long. "Well thanks," he said. "I can't wait to work with you. And thank you, by the way, for bandaging my head. I guess the others forgot about me or something." He laughed a little. His head still hurt, but he wasn't about to let on. "I wonder when the ship sets sail." His eyes began to droop. The excitement was wearing off and the time of night was beginning to catch up with him. He forced himself not to yawn. He was a tough pirate, not some sleepy foal.

She put her saddlebag back on, smiling. "Soon. We should probably head to the docks. And it was no problem." She said, giving Wind Whistle another smile as she began trotting down the road towards the docks.
Her knives stopped clinking against each other and her hooves stopped tapping on the ground as she stopped farther down the road, deciding to wait for everypony else.

And you can ether help that stallion or leave him to die. But remember, that stallion tried to kill the Captain and some of our crew."

Razor Sharp turned away from the scene of the brawl and went immediately to the docks where his ship, the Dark Fortune, awaited him at the very end. It was a medium class frigate with three masts, one gun deck and a lot of adventures to tell about. Razor Sharp could not have asked for a more reliable ship in all his travels. When he looked up, Night Blade and Amber Vox were already onboard and the rest of his crew would be making their way here soon.

The captain walked up the gangplank alone, onto the ship's deck, and stood just out of view. When he was sure no one was looking, he took off his hat and dropped a gold coin into his hoof. He stared at it in fascination. "It all starts here," he whispered to himself. (The coin is the treasure the bounty hunters wanted, as well as the clue pointing them the way to the Cascade Sea.)

But just as Razor Sharp was getting carried away by the beautiful craftsmanship of the coin, he tossed it back into his hat and turned to the crewmates who had already arrived. "Give everypony only a few minutes to get onboard and then set sail!" he told them. "Give them at least enough time for Gloomfury to spread the word and make it back."

Night Blade sat at the back of the ship, smoking his cigarette. He looks back to see the captain, Razor Sharp, get onto the ship. He nods in his direction before he returns his gaze back out to the sea. "From this day forward, you are all my nakama (friends) and i will protect you as you protect me." He thought as he plucks out one of his primary feathers and blows it out into the ocean "I swear to it on my own feather!"

Moon began to board onto the ship, checking her saddlebag first to make sure that everything was on and that she was all equipped with everything to go. She originally signed up to be more of a pony to keep everyone working together when times were rough, but she had a spare medical box and some surgical tools just in case.

".. Alright, that's there... Necklace, on my neck.. All my supplies, all in order... And last but not least, my daughter's lucky charm." She pulled out a small conch shell and held it tightly before stuffing it back, then got on.

It took a bit to get used to it, as Moon would kick a few steps or bump into a mast. But over time she knew where everything was and began to explore the inner section.

Ocean trotted down the street from the bar to the harbor.
After finding the ship, she trotted on board and walked up to the helm, eagerly looking everything over, constantly pulling out her notebook and jotting down some notes and...stuff.
She put all her notes away before trotting to the mane mast and climbing up to the crows nest.
When she was settled at the top of the ship, she smiled, looking up at the dark night sky and out at the horizon.

Cascade shook her head, and turned back to board the ship. They didn't need her help to take that poor fool to the hospital.

The wind rustled her mane, and her cloak flapped in the wind. The look on her face told anypony watching that she was truly at home. She trotted up the stairs to the helm, to stand behind the heavy-looking iron wheel. It was probably lighter than it looked, but Cascade knew there would be no trouble moving the thing. She was a lot stronger than she looked. She trotted around the helm, examining the space she would have to spend most of her day.

Captain Razor Sharp approached Ocean Wind with some reluctance and tried not to make himself noticed, at first. After collecting himself he revealed the gold coin he had kept to himself and showed it to her. "Ocean Wind," he began, "as the dully appointed navigator of this ship I believe you should have this coin. I know it doesn't seem like much but I have reason to believe it can guild us into the Cascade Sea."

Moon eventually explored the whole entire ship in about 30 minutes, getting a feel for everything along the way. She arrived back on the deck to go to her captain to seek out her area to be in.

When nearing him, she came up after finishing the conversation with Ocean. "Captain Razor Sharp? Where is the room to set up the medical equipment in? I'm sorry to ask, but.. It's just that seeing problem."

Night Blade walks back from the stern of the ship. He was about to talk to the captain until he saw that he was already busy. Taking the matters into his own hooves, he goes below deck to observe the cannons. "It looks as though these cannons could use a little work," he thought to himself. He set down his saddle bag and pulled out his hammer, and got to work.

Thirty minutes later, he appears from below the deck. Night Blade was going to inform Razor of what he did with the cannons, but seeing as Moon was already talking to him, he might as well show him rather than tell him.

"Yes," Razor Sharp nodded. "Maybe it's time I told you the extent of my knowledge; how I found this coin and the thing itself that inspired me to undertake this quest. When I was a filly, I found this coin washed ashore near my sea-side home and kept it as a trinket. When I was older, the legend of the city of gold came to my knowledge and I discovered the coin itself happened to be minted by the same Ancient Ones who built that city. Only about five other such coins were ever discovered."

Razor Sharp paused for a moment before continuing. "The coin you have is two sided. The image on the front seems unimportant, but on the back is an accurate mold of the stars in the heavens. Me and a hoof full of experts believe that the stars printed on the back side of that coin are based on the constellations that the Ancient Ones saw when they looked up from one of their islands. Theoretically, we can find this same island by figuring out how the stars align and tracing them to their source. Since you are the navigator, the responsibility falls upon you to decipher this. Can you do it?"

Razor Sharp was surprised when he was approached by the blind pony he met only minutes ago outside the Scumm Bar. It took him a moment to remember that he had invited her to come aboard his ship, but he forgot about her just after the brawl they had with the bounty hunters. Something about Moon Wave's request struck him as odd, though.

"I'm sorry, but did you mention medical equipment?" he frowned. He quickly made sense of it. "Forgive me, but I don't seem to recall granting you a position aboard my ship. I mean no offense to you, but a blind crew mate wouldn't serve me well... especially as a medic."

After that man read out to me on the poster that they needed some members I figured I could do something like this. Oh well, if you don't think I can serve you well then I might as well get off the ship.." She turned and began to leave, heading off ramp down to the docks. Before walking away, she said something to herself.

"And I spent all that time figuring the whole ship inside out..."

Night Blade watched as the mare walked off the ship. He felt sorry for her, but he should trust what he says. Seeing as no one else was talking to him, it was now time to let him know what he has done, "Captain, I went below deck to take a look at the condition of the cannons, they looked pretty beat up. I took the chance to modify them to make 'em last a lot longer and be more powerful. Would you like a demonstration?" Night Blade said, a smirk growing on his face
