Well than, how would you feel about the cmc redeeming a bad guy?

And not just diamond tiara and silver spoons?

Imagine in a plan to get back on rainbow dash Gilda tries become Scootalio's best friend,

maybe at the same time rainbow dash gets busy with the wonder bolts and doesn't have as much time with scoots.

Gilda moves in to drag Scootaloo down to her level.

Now i admit this kind of a under pants gnome theory

Step one

gilda and scoots become friends

step two

step three redemption.

Now i'm not exactly sure what step 2 is gonna be ^^ but i'm sure the writing staff could think of something.

I think their would be something horribly endearing about the cmc tugging at the heart strings of someone truely wicked.

Maybe even Chyselias.

I see the CMC going up to the villain, trying to make him good, than after he say's no,  they say, "Well we tried." Then go home and try something else.

The CMC just don't seem to be that smart or have any rely way of making a villain good.

Well, ever see or read to kill a mocking bird were the kids turn back the angry mob?

They didn't need to be that smart.

The CMC has something twilight sparkle will never have.

World ending cuteness.  There kids.  I mean it's alot easier to tell a princess to get bent (at least in theory, it's a matter of pride and principle), vs 3 little angels (loosely speaking).

I mean how many evil villians would be willing to tortue little kids?  I mean besides trixie (she did torment snips and snails , not that i'm judging her for it ^^)

Uh, maybe if Queen Chrysalis turned into a filly and tried to infiltrate their school or something, and inadvertently teach her how to gain love through friendship...

But yeah, I don't really see that happening, the best they could redeem would probably be just Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. :P

Heard of it, but I never read it or want to read it.

Look 2 of the 3 maybe cute (AB,SB), but being adorable and saying it in a cute way is not going to stop a villain from taking over the world or turning good.

As for who would torture the CMC, well let me ask you thing. Have you ever read the first 4 MLP Comics. By the end of that, Queen Chrysalis was most likely going to kill them for being annoying. So no I don't think the CMC well make a villain turn good.

I think this would be an interesting and potentially great idea. Redeeminga villain need not involve some epic battle or status as a "chosen one" or skills.

There's several ways to do this 2 which I particularly like:

Have them stand up to someone bigger and/or tougher than them. Have that villain/antagonist underestimate them or moved in shock, commend them for their virtues. The villainneed not be a character, it can be a crisis or conflict. This is what happened when Fluttershy stood up to the Dragon in Dragonshy.

Have the villain learn from the CMCs. Because you know kids often know a lot more than we credit them for. And there's a lot to see from a child's perspective that adults cannot see or simply ignore.

Honestly, the only way I could see this working is if they were going up agaisnt a really weak villain. More like a troublemaker who would be a little worse than Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, but that's it really. I highly doubt they could go agaisnt any of the major villains like the one's up in Discord's, Queen Chrysalis's, or even King Sombra's rank.

They're little fillies. They don't have the smarts nor the skills or strength in standing a chance agaisnt such a villain, nevermind be able to redeem them.

I say neigh.

^I like the sound of this idea! This could work! I can totally see this! :P

That first part doesn't get a little of my yes, or some of my yes or even most of my yes,  it gets all and I do mean all of my yes ^^.

I'm all over philly Chrysalis.  Wait, wait, how about a daughter?  (Hay hasbro wake up!)

Imagine her kid getting redeemed behind her back?

I mean kids do live to rebel.

Bingo!

I mean seriously the show isn't about big battles any way.  I'd much rather see the cmc  reach a villians heart than say

elements of haremoney.
