Bear with me.

Twilight sparkle is tighly wound and kinda drives spike nuts some times,

and he lumps it cause she's in charge of him.

 

She's a princess now.
If she's given an extended position of authority do you think she's gonna try an overly micro manage and end up being,

 

well the kill joy fun police kinda arch type character?  I mean not a whole season, but for like an episode or 2?

She was a killjoy in feeling pinkie keen. seemed hell bent on disproving Pinkie's bullshit until she suddenly decided to evolve into Rapidash and give up.... *shrugs*

Hmm, she was a killjoy in Feeling Pinkie Keen since she went through everything to prove her hypothesis that Pinkie Pie's strange circumstances when it came to her Pinkie sense, was completely wrong.

Yes it's likely that we'll get an episode or two of Twilight being a "killjoy", as you put it. Twilight has a much more mature personality among the rest of them so it's not unlikely for her to act as the eldest sister.

There are several examples throughout the series of Twilight being a bit of a killjoy and while she has gotten quite a bit better there are still a few subtle signs or her anal retentive side. Due to her new responsibilities I could easily see a resurgence of this side of her, maybe she tries a bit too hard to do what she believes is the right thing and ends of missing the big picture and ends up not paying as much attention as she should to others suggestions. As the saying goes "the road to hell is often paved with good intentions" and Twilight may have good intentions in this case but may be simply going about it the wrong way. Applejack in Apple Family Reunion and The Last Roundup for example had good intentions but clearly missed the bigger picture and refused to listen to anypony so this trait is not unique to just Twilight but it does manifest itself in different ways and for different reasons in Applejack.

Well, if i had to think of a situation where twilight might have been a kill joy, if their weren't other things going on.

The sleep over where she's doing a check list.

Could you imagine if that had been the i don't know,

the cmc

putting up with twilight going "okay lets do this now."

it reminded me of lious griffin  on family guy  going "we have to stick to the schedule."

i believe while their at the zoo and her whole family just ditches her.

 

I'm trying to picture pinkie pies reaction to a check list at a sleep,

seeing as how a sleep over is more or less a party (right?)
