If friendship is literally magic on the show, shouldn't Pinkie be the lead?

Okay i think it's pretty established friend ship is actual magic on the show.  At least debatable.  Now bear with me this is gonna be alllllllllllllllllllll over the place. 
It got me thinking.

If friend ship is magic, and the over all theme, shouldn't pinkie been the lead?  I mean if friend ship was actual magic everything that pinkie does that defys reality.  would it not?    And it would get around the whole
"Princess can only teach unicorns for their students cause the lessons involve magic."

 

I was just thinking seeing as how Candice is love, and pinkie cutie mark (i know it's parties, but really isn't pinkie the embodiment of friend ship?  I mean at the very least it runs her life) she would made a bang up student.

 

Not just that,

but that could end up being a specialty of earth ponies.

 

Ha sounded Over powered didn't it?  What if earth ponies inherently understood friend ship better to such a level they knew it on a magical level?

 

Ha you'd get a flood of earth pony ocs ^^.

Friendship is actually what brings a group together, then it is something that can even help people who have nothing in common work together. Friendship is Magic after all, in the show.

It's a puzzling idea, but I disagree. The whole "friendship is magic" thing isn't referring to tangible magic. It's simply used to express the virtues of tightly woven bonds with your friends. The only other possibility is that it refers to the magical warding of the Elements of Harmony, that fend off malevolent threats to the same friendship. It's not something that can be wielded in the same sense as unicorn magic. It's more of a vibe, or an atmosphere.

Earth Pony magic is apparently passive. They can't control it per se and it is constantly active. it might also be the most varied as well and account for a lot of things ranging from Pinkie Sense to Big Mac's insane strength, 

 

AJ bucks trees yet only the fruit falls, never any leaves and she never marks the tree she kicks either. AJ even talks to trees (as a funny plot device but what if it is a literal truth? )

 

The comics also in that the Mane 6 actually have the EoH power without actually needed them. though its not as powerful and cant be channeled as the Harmony Blaster with the tiara & necklaces.

Pinkie's element is laughter, or optimism as it's been refered to, but I would never say it's friendship. To be honest she's not always a great friend and can be very self-centered.

 

Friendship is magic but it's not the same magic that Twilight has, but she has the spark of friendship inside her that allows friendship to become magic. And she showed all the elements of friendship (plus leadership) which made her a princess of Equastria.

Even before watching my first episode, it was obvious how friendship and magic are used metaphorically and even interchangably at times.  This has been the overreaching story arc of Seasons 1 through 3 and these two ostensibly different things were miraculously merged in Magical Mystery Cure. 

 

Here's one more way that friendship is "magic".  Independently, all Mane 6 ponies have unique and amazing talents.  But when they work as a team, they truly become an unstoppable force, a whole that's greater than the sum of its parts.  This happens only because of the way their friendship augments all the physical abilities they bring to the table.

Lol... this makes me think of one of my favorite MLP episodes of all time, "Too Many Pinkie Pies". For a while, Pinkie was really running the show...

 

But in all seriousness, Twilight is better suited for that sort of role. I don't think Pinkie would want to take on the same level of responsibility Twilight eagerly takes...

Interesting idea, to think about it, I think this would be a good scenario for a movie or a long episode rather than a whole series though... I don't think there is much you can do for long... Pinkie would be the one to save everyone through her upbeat nature, and I think she would be able to do it so quickly. I can't picture her coming from Canterlot though.. she just seems so Ponyvillesque..Twilight's more like a fish out of water at Ponyville, but the Ponyville you describe above would be very different than the one we've grown to know and love.. so it could work.

anyway, cool thing about twilight is that she didn't start out that friendly. she had to learn it on her own. they could've used pinkie for her friendlyness, but she already knows how to be friendly and it would've been kinda less interesting.

I love mlp racism LOL.  I'm waiting for the day we hear "scum sucking changeling."

and i'm ready to gauge the main 6 reaction to the statement.  It would enlighten us to how much the girls were ooc as people say in bridal gossip.

 

as for unicorn favoritism the shows always changing despite what the fans fear.  that's a good thing.

i'd rather have the show fail being bold and trying things than get stale and wither from stagnation.
