Sorry for such a long absence, I would finish a cold and then get something else sickness wise due to my immune system still being shot.

Uhmm... Got an idea for a post but it feels a little godmoddy In terms of ol' fishface here. Can also post normally if you prefer but y'know what I'm like with character development and stuff - I just saw how she would respond, but it would be hard to write without being godmoddy.

OP? Possibly, but I prefer to think that desperation can make someone do crazy things... It's not going to be a repeat performance.

 

That, and I think she did more damage to herself than anything else though. Maybe not the same kind if damage but...

Oh, no worries at all!  No need to apologize for being sick, your health should come far before any roleplay.  Anyway, here's what has happened so far:

 

The tunnel that they had found led them to the until-then sealed off basement to the hotel.  In there, the group that had been in the swamp encountered Savoba waiting for someone to manage to get through the sealed door.  Once he was found, Savoba started his "game" and issued a challenge to everypony in the hotel:  Survive the night.

 

Then, as he teleported away, large fish-like monsters which I'm referring to as Murlocs because I can't come up with a real name for them, started to rise from the stagnant water in the basement.  The ponies in the basement escaped, with the exception of Mr. Silver, the hotel owner.  Now the Murlocs are hunting the guests and employees through the halls.

 

Currently Sabel, Wish, and Skuldaf went to find Mirror, and just got out of an encounter with one of the monsters.  Wish managed to kill the first one, which then turned into a puddle of clean water when it died.

 

Storm and Golbez are dealing with a second one of them, after Golbez went back to his room to retrieve some of his magician's props to give him an edge against the creatures.

 

Swiggly is out near the pier facing off against two of them, about to be three of them...  I imagine Swiggly will want to be running soon

 

If you want to hop back in you are more than welcome to join back in with either Sabel or Golbez's groups, since you were with them when you had to leave.  We could easily say that your character was there the entire time and was just really quiet or something

It's not dead, just a little slow at the moment.  Last week was the first week of my Spring semester, so my posting took a big hit then while I was getting accustomed to my new schedule.  Weekends are always hit or miss for me, because neither me nor any of my friends know how to plan things in advance so I never know what my weekends will look like XD

 

I'll likely get a new post up tomorrow.  I also like to leave time between each of my posts to give as many folks as possible a chance to respond.  Shy DM syndrome, I suppose.  I know the direction I plan for the story to take, and want to direct the group towards it, but I don't want it to feel like I'm railroading too much.  I still want everyone to feel like their decisions matter.

Just as a bit of a word for everyone:  Sorry the RP has kind've died down.  I don't plan to let it die without a fight, but the group of folks still active in the RP has dropped lower than I'd hoped for when I started it.  So, a lot of the ideas I'd had when I started the RP I've been forced to scrap and I've been trying to adjust / come up with new scenarios.

No worries, as I said it wasn't so much a matter of waiting on anyone specific as it was trying to figure out how to go about it with our current group

 

Though, that said, if you want to post go ahead XD I think I've about got things sorted out enough to start it going again tonight.  If not tonight then tomorrow, depending on how much I manage to procrastinate.
