@, Ah, yes, I wrote that as I don't know enough about MLP lore to feel comfortable explaining where I was from otherwise. I thought that was a vague compromise that was at least "somewhere" to originate from, but not a place she's ever going back unless needed. Is that still not good, though?

What would you suggest I change it to? I really have no problem doing so, just not sure what would fit. I want her to be kind of mysterious...not an orphan, but in a situation where her parents aren't around?

@,  It's perfectly fine  I understand the reasoning lol, my first OC was from Fillydelphia because I wanted to pick a location that we hadn't actually seen in the show.  It says she's from the human version of Canterlot, if you'd like you could just have her tell others that she's from Canterlot.  You don't need to change anything, and it fits that way.  Everypony wins!

Yeah, I might change it to just Canterlot in general, as from what I understand it hasn't be explored too much in the series, other than the hub for the princesses.

Honestly, there are plenty of options you can pick from if you don't want to go with Canterlot.  Baltimare, Fillydelphia, Las Pegasus...  These are all popular roleplaying decisions, and many of them don't have much more renown then being mentioned in one or two lines in the show XD  It really depends on what kind of background you'd like her to have.  City girl, country girl, from a small town, along those lines.

I think my edited setup is good, as it shows that she knows of sophistication and mannerisms, but that she can be down-to-earth and your "everyday" pony pal.

It looks good to me!  You're more than welcome to make a post in the roleplay anytime you'd like.  Not much has happened so far - a ferry arrived at the hotel in the swamp, the guests are deciding on what room they'd like, and a couple of us have gone to look for the dining room.  If you want to jump on in, you can just say that Twila was on the ferry and was just being quiet or something

You're doing absolutely fine!    Better than a lot of first attempts I've seen.  (And a few second and third attempts that I've seen...  XD)  We all feel self-conscious sometimes but you shouldn't worry, you're doing great.

Just as a heads up. what you did in your last post is considered Godmodding. (Controlling another character without express permission in a RP.) You don't have to change your post though. And just in case your wondering I'm not mad or anything, you're still learning so you're totally fine (I'm kind of stressing that part so you don't feel bad.) I'll just roll with it since it was pretty close to what I was gonna do.

 

Although there are two things that you got wrong in your post, namely that you said she is wearing her cape and mask. In my last post I had her take off the cloak and I'm pretty certain that I didn't have her put on the mask. But you are getting bonus points for having read her OC sheet. I'll leave it up to you thought whether or not Mirror should have her cloak and mask on. Especially since if she doesn't have them on her "secret" is exposed....which puts me into a tough spot. So I'll also leave that choice to you. 

 

So far you're doing a pretty good job. Keep it up. As the others have said I would never have guessed you were new to RPing.

God Modding can be that too. Although depending on how you do it your character (not your character specifically) could just be Overpowered.

 

Alrighty. Sorry to have asked you to edit it. But thank you very much. I just haven't decided on how Mirror should react upon being seen without hiding the scars. Well at least for this age.
