Thanks, Lhee! By the way...how should I go about exploring the swamp/hotel. I mean, we only know so much, so obviously imagination is in order, but I don't want to overdo it or underdo it either in terms of what I do.

Hehe, oh boy, trying to remember the basic layout from memory...

 

Basically it's two stories + a basement (which should be marked employees only), the left wing (I think that's what I said before? Someone correct me if I'm contradicting myself) is the guest rooms, the right wing is staff rooms and facilities (like the kitchen & dining room)

 

Out front is a yard, the dock to the ferry, and a tool shed. Out back is the plantation style garden. A fence surrounds the hotel to keep the swamp seperate. As long as you stick to that general outline you can be as creative as you'd like!

 

Things will change as the larger plot line develops as well, it's simply starting out slow and peaceful.

Ahh, I see. Hmm. I'll need to keep this in mind as a reference as it's a bit hard to remember...might even draw it out. I'm a very visual person

Below is the mask that I based Mirror Image's mask on. The difference is that Mirror's mask extends a bit further down on each side and has a section for her horn, that is decorated with silver.

First plot related post!  XD  I promise, it's starting out very slowly, but it should start to pick up.  I imagine after about 1 or 2 days in the RP it should be at least involving everyone's OC by that point.

 

Which brings me to my next point, we're going to want to timeskip to morning eventually.  So, try not to have your characters up all night!  (Unless they're supposed to be up all night of course, in which case we'll still need to do the timeskip)

Sure!  By a timeskip, I mean that with one post I'll have Sabellah go to sleep at night.  In the next post, she'll wake up and it will be morning.

 

In this little example I only mentioned Sabel, but in order for an RP to flow smoothly then everyone involved has to acknowledge the timeskip.  If a couple people are still on the previous night when others are moving on to morning, things get confusing and difficult to follow.

Yep, and no worries, it isn't a big deal most times.  If one happens I'll make sure to announce it, and it's easy enough to catch up to a timeskip if your character wasn't exactly in bed yet or anything along those lines.
