Working on a railway; one of, if not, the hardest job to ever exist. Controlling trains have been a dream of many and feeling the wind rush while you hear the pistons pump and the boiler bubble like mad, all while you puff down the tracks at breakneck speeds is said to be the most exhilarating thing ever.

 

In this RP, you will take on different roles that make up a railway such as: Conductors, Station-masters, Train Engineers, Fireman, Depot managers-etc. Please post your application for the RP in this format.

This is my very FIRST RP, so be prepared for some possible screw-ups. The initial idea for this RP was sparked by none other than my good friend: Thunder Dash (http://mlpforums.com/user/8804-thunder-dash/) And If you would be so kind as to read and obey the rules below.

 

READ THESE RULES

1: Please use realistic locomotives, even though this will be taking place on the Baltimare Railway (BMR), please be realistic; for example don't make a Class 08 Diesel Shunter go 31 mph as they were known for only going 15 mph. Also, please know at least the basic knowledge of trains.

 

2: ABSOLUTELY NO OVERPOWERED OCs OR ALICORNS! You are not the best train driver ever; even the pros make mistakes.

 

3: This is not Thomas the Tank Engine, your train can't talk or drive itself.

 

4: Be descriptive, DO NOT post something that looks like a 4th grader typed it. For example, don't post: 'The train went fast.', instead post: 'The big, dark red express train whooshed by me at great speed as it raced towards its destination, smoke shooting from its funnel as it gave a quick whistle as it rumbled by.'

 

5: Be somewhat active please, try to post at LEAST 1-2 times a day.

 

6: Have FUN! An RP that is not fun gets boring quickly and can sometimes become a bit of a drag at times.

This sounds interesting, would it be alright if I give this a shot? I don't know a lot about trains. Like the names of them. But I know a little about how they work, but not much about how to drive them. I'd like to join with my OC Gloomfury  he has some experience blacksmithing. So I think he would be a good fireman cause he's use to high temperatures.
