Slice0Pie 815 November 30, 2013 Share November 30, 2013 I know I really shouldn't bash myself, but I freaking draw ponies like everyday, an I don't see myself improving.. It may sound selfish, but that's how I truly feel.. Anyways, this is just a random pony I drew since I was bored. So... eeyup

Zygen 6,066 November 30, 2013 Share November 30, 2013 I think your being to hard on yourself, that's better then a lot of ponies I draw! I think the fact your telling yourself you cant improve is making it hard for you to improve, you need to believe in yourself first of all. Then just take what you don't like, and work on that to fix it. I think that really the biggest problem is the neck is a bit long, and the head is a bit small in proportion to the body. So maybe just work on the neck and head shape and size some! It's frustersting sometimes, but I'm sure with some work you can fix it! Don't give up! Keep trying! I believe in ya 1 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! My Oc's, Ponysona, Bella Vocal Covers Blog, MLP Covers Thread

Ragland Tiger 3,488 November 30, 2013 Share November 30, 2013 (edited) If you have a printer (or some other source where you can get printed images) and tracing paper( available at places that sell art supplies), all you have to do is lay the tracing paper over the picture and you're good to go. You seem to have no trouble uploading images; downloading them is just as easy. Perhaps you can have someone download and print images for you? The point is that tracing will give you more of a "feel" for how the characters are actually drawn. Forgive me, I only mean to be helpful. Demirari 454 November 30, 2013 Share November 30, 2013 You could always use Inkscape, it's a free vectoring program, assuming that you want to vector. You can also use GIMP, I've heard a lot of good things from it. These should be free. And the print screen button should take a screen shot of whatever you want. And I believe that a artist should be hard upon himself/herself in order to improve one's skill. But don't be to the point where you discourage yourself.

iceestarz 5,768 December 1, 2013 Share December 1, 2013 Finding improvement can be extremely difficult. As I compare and contrast my drawings I find sometimes huge improvement where as on other occasions I find small ones. It could be easier to spot improvement if you focus on one particular area of the pony. I used to leave the eyes of my ponies with no detail at all, just recently I started to fill it in cause it was something I needed to fix. Little things like that can make all the big difference in any art piece.

So... eeyup image.jpg I know this going to sound really cleshay but, improvement only comes with time, study, and probably as you know, lots and lots of practice. Patience is key, trust me I have been drawing for about half a year and, I have improved form when I first started but, Im no where near where I want to be.
