I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I can say one thing, from what I have seen I don't appreciate them turning Lola into a ditz rather than what she was in Space Jam but I'll have to give it a shot.

Basically, I respect that you don't like the show. I just wish you would respect that their are some of us that does like the show, instead of all the hate. I feel like I need to make a "preparing to fire friendship cannon" joke.

Honestly, I love the old cartoons as much as anyone... the only thing is, I can't enjoy them to the fullest extent. Sure the violence is fun, but that only can go so far. I'm to young (21) to understand majority of the pop-culture reference the show makes (though stuff with Sam I enjoy the best). I get more of the jokes out of Tiny Tunes then I do out of the original.

I enjoy both shows on par with one another... ones good for its time, a time which I missed, and the other show is good for its own time.

That's pretty much all I can say about the matter at hand.

Well apparently alot of people complained about Space Jam Lola. to the fans she wasn't looney enough *she only had one crazy burst and that was at the end, this not including the "Doll" jokes*

I much prefer "Lola's" personality in Loonatics. Of course, that personality was directed to a different audience then both Space jam and the 2011 show is aimed at.

Just my opinion of the show...I don't see how that disrespects anyone else's view on the show.

I loved Loonatics.

<.< Didn't know people complained about Lola in Space Jam. That's rather odd because I always figured she'd be so well liked. Maybe that was my horny young self talking though...

I also remember seeing Bugs and rather than being witty he was more annoyed with everything.

Also, you don't particularly have to know about the era to get some of the references. Some of them are referenced to different degrees in many different series' from that time and even in Looney Toons themselves. Not getting one or two references never particularly bothered me as it was still easy to tell what was funny and what wasn't even if you don't necessarily understand it.

I remember watching a review over it, and the problem was "bunnies with boobs=/=good movie"

My "favorite" episodes of the new Loony Tunes are the ones that lack side characters as much as possible, like the red guy and the mice...in my opinion they have the worst voice acting and I feel Bugs and Daffy work much better as modern characters.

the voice acting is actually very solid.

The only people who I find should not be in the show is the Red monster and the regular people.

All the voice acting to me sounds high pitched...I would prefer voices that were more believable especially if the original characters didn't sound so squeeky.

Actually, the orriginal characters DID have squeaky voices.

Have you not heard the orriginal buggs, daffy, or Elmer Fudd?

I wasn't so much referring to them so much but since you bring them up...no their original voice actors were not as high pitched. Much like old and new Spongebob voice, the original voice could be counted as "high pitched" but it was much more believable than a voice that sounds like nothing but a mouse being stepped on.

Well the reason I brought it up is because the new Loony Tunes show is based off of the characters.

So they got close voice actors.

Yeah I know what you mean but their voices sound like the voice actor is struggling to maintain a similar voice, while the original could do it easily. Obviously it's almost impossible to get someone who can pull of the same voice naturally but in the cases of side characters I would have preferred if they went with completely original voices especially considering that most of the side characters never had the personality they have in the new show.

The orriginal cast is dead.

Do you know how long ago the series was made?

Oh my bad, I worded that incorrectly.

When I said "original" I wasn't referring to the old cast, I meant that they should have gotten voice actors for side characters that had "original" voices, (not necessarily just ones that could attempt to emulate the old voices).

  • 7 years later...

I thought it was a nice modern take on the characters, existing in the 21st century. Less of the gags you’d see in the originals, but still entertaining.

The only really good thing to come from it was the new Lola. They did some great stuff with her by letting Kristin Wiig cut loose with the character. Otherwise the show was poorly written and amateurish except for a few choice episodes.

I actually enjoyed it, with the characters being more modern I still found it entertaining. Quite a shame they have to cancel the show.
