Times You Just Wanted To Hug A Pony

Has there ever been a time in the show where you just wanted to hug a pony and tell them "everything is going to be alright" or they have done something so cute that you just can't help it? I have had a few of those moments myself with quite a few ponies.

 

Applejack: Practically everything she does makes me want to hug her, the two times I wanted to do it most were both in Apple Family Reunion. First is the scene with baby Applejack and then the scene where she breaks down and cries, Applejack wanted to make everything perfect to honor the memory of her parents which I who recently lost my father really hit hard for me.

 

Twilight Sparkle: When everypony left her hanging in the Canterlot Wedding two parter. Shy maybe could have handled things better but she did turn out to be right. 

 

Rainbow Dash: The scene at the end of Sleepless In Ponyville where scootalove officially became cannon.

 

Pinkie Pie: Something about the smile song did it for me.

 

Fluttershy: Practically everyone wants to hug her all the time so I would say if there is one moment it is Hurricane Fluttershy.

 

Rarity: After Rarity revealed herself toward the end Sisterhooves Social.

 

Derpy: Pretty much everytime I see her.

 

Luna: Her redemption scene and the entire episode of Luna Eclipsed.

 

Applebloom: Family Appreciation Day

 

Scootaloo: Sleepless In Ponyville and Flight To The Finish.

 

Sweetie Belle: Sisterhooves Social and everytime she does one of her voice cracks.

Better question, when would you not want to hug a pony?

 

Times when I especially want to hug a pony are Rainbow Dash whenever she's being a dorky, excited fangirl and also towards the end of Mysterious Mare Do Well, Pinkie whenever she's sad in general, Scootaloo in Sleepless in Ponyville, and Applejack when she botched her family reunion. There are countless other times of course.

as for in the show.. Def in the recent CMC ep with Scootaloo.. her inability to fly and trying soo hard... that had to be the saddest moment in the show for me to date....

That horrid feeling knowing you SHOULD be able to do something but just can't pull it off for some reason..

Plenty of times. The one that comes to mind first is Twilight Sparkle in "Winter Wrap Up", when she wants more than anything to be a good helper and bring spring to Ponyville, yet she botches the assignment Applejack gives her and has tears in her eyes from the frustration and regret. That scene is tender and touching. *hugs for Twi*

Anytime a pony is sad, or crying I want to just hug them so bad, and comfort them.

Hmm. I'd be a bit wary of hugging Pinkie Pie then. She may try to stab me in the face or stalk my every move with her insane tracking skillz. You are much braver than me.

I always want to give them hugs at the end of every episode! The ways they just come together at the end is so cute!

Never unless they're in need of some serious emotional help. I personally find it odd to want to hug ponies because I view them as real people and hugging people that don't know you makes for an awkward situation, or possibly a restraining order
